When would the defensive aspects of using full usu really outweigh either keeping dmg higher using mix/match or using a pdt set, when appropriate, though? I mean isn't it just 18eva and 2counter that you're gaining as "defensive" capabilities (Yes, I'm assuming you're tp'ing in usu body)? I can't imagine 18eva being game breaking for staying alive.
Why would this change at Colibri? Polearm? Only if you have all the other top acc gear to support using meat (which includes 8 pole merits and Hasso iirc), and even that's not really better, they are very close.
Any time you care about evasion? If you're /dnc soloing anything (esp since you also don't have marches/haste to make haste what it is assumed to be in most the math posted here. If you're doing something duo, it's up the air, depending if you'd like to be more defensive or offensive. Really, you can't quantify how good evasion is vs damage. If you have a bard and a real mage, chances are evasion is useless, and furthermore you have marches. I think the simplest way I could phrase it is: "If you want your bard to Mambo, use full Usu. Otherwise, mix and match."
Evasion was implying gain of +49 evasion, and +8 agi since normally you take haub +1 over usu body for DD unless you're using sword strap[or no rajas ring] And as said /dnc would be one thing, and also for duo stuff like if you did Hagun ENM with just one mage[or solo obivously the evasion is better]
Just bought Mahatma Feet. Obviously going to use them for my Max MND set (which uses wand+shield), and keep Goliard for my HighSkill set, but for my general purpose Mnd build, Goliard or Mahatma?
(Current mid-range build is: HQ Staff, Raptor+1, Jasper Tathlum, Crim Mask, Morgana, Novia(gimp!), Loquac., Crim mail, Dvt+1, Omega, Aqua, Aslan, Penitant's, Mahatma Slops, Goli/Mahatma feet)
It won't make much difference MAcc wise, so Mahatma

Chump Galea. I don't understand 25WSAcc hats on any job other than Rng. If your WS *NEEDS* 25Acc in one slot then it's likely your TP set will too. That means something else is wrong (probably your food). If your TP set doesn't need that absurd boost of acc then your WS set shouldn't either.
"Removing acc in other slots" is also a moot point - most WS acc comes from the top damage pieces anyway (the exceptions being ares body and hachiryu legs).
Also fuck cassie earring.
For your actual question, I've always been lead to believe that berk+1>nbody.
Talking about damage taken, for a Rdm main, obviously the end goal being 5/5 Coral+1, but untill then (I'm not wasting inv space on NQ head/hands/feet), NQ Mail + HQ Legs (6% MDT) or 10MDB from the 5 goli pieces?
Someone told me that 10MD is about 8MDT, so should I not bother carrying coral stuff (the armor set) untill I can get at least 9% out of it?
Well, it's like this:
RDM starts with 12 MDB (making their MDB number 1.12, like Store TP or a variety of other things), which affects damage by being the denominator in the magic damage equation.
So take 1/1.12 magic damage just by being RDM (~89%). If you add more MDB onto that, it decreases your magic damage taken further. In your case, 1/1.22 = ~82%, so compared to a naked WAR you've reduced the magic damage you take by 7% by adding 10 MDB.
If you were wearing no -MDT before and put on your -6%, you can think of as 0.94/1.12 = 84% damage taken. So compared to a naked WAR you're only 5% better than your starting condition (though it's actually a 6% reduction in damage compared to a naked RDM.)
If you want to calculate this yourself, the easiest way to do it is:
(1- Magic Damage Taken %) / (1+MDB/100) = Magic Damage Taken compared to a naked WAR
Full Goliard is going to be very competitive until you get some better pieces, and depending what you're using it for you have to remember HQ Coral might not be the goal. Coral +1 Body/Legs are really the only two essential pieces. Feet are beaten by Ataractic Solea and Hands can be replaced with Duelist's Gloves if you're getting a meritted Shellra V. Merman's Rings/Earrings x2 and Hexerei cape or Lamia Mantle +1 should be your more immediate goal (before HQ body fo'sho) anyway.
I was very happy with this build:

I used a variation of it (with more of an emphasis on HP+) to eat AV meteors during the zergs and survive.
I didn't really want to bump the discussion in the relics thread, but I do want some feedback on a topic in there:
I don't do HNMs, only use WAR for merits, lower Limbus, and Dynamis. Typically my gearsets are based on the philosophy of 'gear for Greater Colibri, use pizza on anything else'. Is this the wrong way to go about it?
What I do is parse a lot at least until I have solid numbers to find out an average needed for each of the events I do that I feel comfortably with. The base tp setups I roll with usually have just above capped accuracy of what you would need for colibris without aggressor nor hasso. As for the events you mention:
Dynamis.- Cap with attack food. Use pizza for Xarcabard.
Limbus.-Attack food, I only parse these if people want to know their numbers as I dont go competitively for these (mostly focused on getting the chips with as few people as possible), and by eyeballing I would say anything you would usually tp with is going to be overkill acc wise for regular runs. Not sure about bosses but I doubt you would go warrior for those, probably pizza anyway.
As for other stuff like einherjar, most t1 and t2 waves I can go with curry and cap accuracy or be nearly capped, sometimes just above the cap, so I am comfortable with that. Tier 3 I dont risk it and go with pizza, overkilling acc or not depends a lot on what mobs you get, I cant ride hasso so maybe someone able to doesnt need pizza there.
So for Warrior the philosophy of 'gear for Greater Colibri, use pizza on anything else', at least with merits, gear like Adaberk and basic stuff to play with (Core -> Bomblet, Forager's -> Cuch, etc) doesnt apply to a good chunk of what I do. Pizza is still awesome as said before for Xarcabard, Tier3 Einherjar, and obviously anything more evasive than that (several bosses of any given event, hnms...). Factors like what gear you got to play with, whether you change gear based on agressor or not, possibility of going /sam and chances of being able to go with hasso is what you need to check, but using pizza for everything that isnt colibri is doing it wrong in my opinion, particularly if its lower limbus and dynamis.
Looking at THF T2 merits, 5/5 Assassin's Charge vs. 5/5 Aura Steal? Could anyone give some examples where Aura Steal is particularly useful?
Aura Steal is nice for solo (by which I mean, just thf - no dual boxing etc.) and you may need/want to dispel something. Just one merit in it is enough for this though, I can't think of any situations where I'd want to be guaranteed to steal a buff rather than simply dispel it with stealing it being an added plus.
