If you're running out of pops then yeah, what I'm saying isn't aimed at you (a global "you", to everyone in this situation) as only cor roll will increase your exp/hour, assuming you're keeping chain and killing mobs as they re-pop. I'm not inclined to believe your random pick-up party does this though, which is the situation Taruking was talking about.

Actually it's pointless to sub THF prior to lv60, cuz TA is lv30 (iirc). the whole point of using THF SJ is for TA so that you get to keep food effect and Hasso up (in the case of SAM). Obviously you are not going to sub THF if the leader tells you they don't use PLD tank and have BRD +/- outside healers. And you should really only TA on PLD (or NIN) tank so it's not that hard to land it. In fact if you have a smart melee who actually know how SATA works, they can pull hate delibrately with weaponskill or provoke for you to SATA on PLD (potential for skillchain formation).

At lv55 (lesser colibri) and lv60 (colibri), if you use a PLD chances are your party is not going to break chain 5 consistently, moreso if you don't have a BRD, COR and RDM. TA WS gives your tank free hate and save MP. Being able to keep food effect can have significant impact on your melee performance at those levels too.

Know what? I give up. Your base assumptions seem so disconnected to the reality of parties that I don't wanna waste any more time on you and your /thf argument. So instead, I bow out of this stupidity by quoting myself.

Know what going /thf to a shit party does? Makes the party even worse.

is acc capped? what evolith can you etch atm? I think h2h gets tpbonus evolith and idk what mob you're aiming for and your total dex. Can you hit 118 dex without body?

I don't think pup is reaching high enough dDex w/o the body slot, (or in total for that matter) and the "increase crit hit dmg" is just making your crit do slightly stronger dmg which seems counter productive when ur losing 5 dex on the body already, not to mention ur acc might still be low w/o more usu and what not. Need more gear/merits/etc info, but i'm betting acp wins regardless as its higher acc, atk, str and dex over togi(w/o any evolith anyways)

    TA+SB:
    Base damage = WSC * fTP + agi = (dex*0.5) * 2 + agi
meaning they should be roughly equal at 100% tp with agi having a slight advantage of not being subject to rounding. However, DEX starts to win really fast as you go over 100% tp since fTP on SB goes up pretty fast. Also, if Sea Gorget (and it really does work like advertised) then definitely DEX before AGI.

TA+M.Stab (MS makes it sound like mercy stroke):
    Base damage = WSC * fTP + agi = (dex*0.3) * 2 + agi
meaning agi outperforms dex. Unlike SB, at 300 TP agi still wins.

not that it's the place to argue this anyway
having empty/shit earring/back slots when you could use Spike earrings or jag mantle for some levels whilst EXPing is the exact kind of thing you'd call someone gimp for in media.

Regarding TA+Stab/SB, my TAStab/SB sets are the same now, but befor I got Oily's+Iota, Stab used AF Legs+Breeze and Bite used Enkidus+Thunder.
I'll post my TA/TAStab sets for you anyway:

Was dancing around Heca feet over enkidus and merman's over pixie for SB but not sure.

I just put together a ddex build 116 dex (i'd have 117 if i had pahluwan shoes, setananas shoes or pixie earring) that puts my acc at cap (or close enough) well once update hits and they increase my h2h, w/ kabobs.

And how much str are you giving up ? The benefit from capping ddex will be less than 10% increase in damage (for instance if you go from 12% to 24% crit and if one crit is worth 1.9 normal).

Are you sure about those formulas? It should be

    (base dagger DMG+fSTR+total AGI+WSC)*ftp

I left weapon damage and fSTR out cus they would be equal. About that formula though, I've always understood that AGI and DEX for TA+WS and SA+WS respectively are not multiplied by fTP.

    http://www.freewebs.com/vzx-01/dmgcalc.htm
For Sneak Attack and Trick Attack enabled WS:
Damage = ( Base Damage + Total DEX + Total AGI) x critical hit pDIF
Where fTP is part of the WS base damage calculation.

Pretty sure it's something more like:
    Damage = (Base Damage + fSTR + Total DEX+ Total AGI)*fTP*(Crit pDIF)

If fTP didn't transfer to SA/TA WSs, the Mercy Stroke would be significantly less amazing.
