I didn't edit that in, and even if I did the edit time was 6 minutes before you replied. And your quote includes the final version of the post.
Regardless, I don't see anybody here trying to make a case based on a single game, do you?
[edit] And I've already said several times I think the Jets are going to lose, I'm arguing over your idiocy and not the result of sunday.
You're right on that. I'm going to just pretend my time stamp is wrong on here so I don't feel like I'm crazy. I swear I read that without any mention of starters or 9 pts the first time.
Well. You had a good point with the NO game. Best game of the year for the Jets D. But...
The only top 5 offense they faced all year was NO. They faced a Welkerless Pats team to get a victory (which goes back to my argument about only having 1 real passing threat) but were crushed the second time around.
You were arguing that Indy is one of the two best offenses. They're clearly not. Idk how many times I gotta say it, but having arguably the best QB doesn't give you the best offense.
You also argued the Pats had more than 1 big passing threat when the Jets won in a game in which Welker didn't even play. Strike two.
You were also arguing that allowing 9 pts in the first half was "shutting down," the Colts offense. The Jets weren't the only team to do that. There's a reason no one wants to face Manning late with the game on the line. Would have been nice to see what would have happened, but that's still strike three.
Did you watch nothing but Jets games this year or something?
Anyways. Real talk. Jets 17 Chargers 14. You heard it here first.
Surprised at how many people are on the Jets bandwagon after they beat the freaking Bungals.
yea jets are getting destroyed this weekend, pats style
Yeah. I like the Ravens, but I think they're gonna' get shredded up this weekend too.
Good lord, the Jets are really no fucking match for the Chargers. As for the Colts v Jets game referenced earlier...The defensive guys for the Colts were only out there for selective snaps, even though they were starting. Pierre Garcon sat out with a hand injury. Hank Baskett (who had been on the team for less than a month iirc) started. Their ability to spread the field was severely hampered with Wayne being a non factor. Only other WR they had was Collie, who had 6 catches for 94 yards. Imagine if you threw Garcon in there on top of that.
Nah Tyche, you can't factor all of those, you know, facts in there. Ruins everything.
Arizona @ New Orleans
Baltimore @ Indianapolis
Dallas @ Minnesota
NYJ @ San Diego
God help me, but I think DAL is gonna' take the win too.
Hurts so bad to admit that...
Had to listen to a guy at work today talk about Romo for a good 20min. It was a shock and awe campaign on my brain.
I expect Dallas to win too. As I mentioned earlier the Vikings kind of suck in all facets now. Hopefully ol Brett can keep it interesting at least.
The AZ NO game is up in the air for me.
NO should win on paper, but Warner is Mr.Playoffs. God damn I can't wait for this one.
Honestly I think Zona should be favored, the onus is on the Saints to prove they can beat anyone since they haven't played good/dominant football in many weeks.
Simple answer really. If Warner is on, Arizona wins. If NO can pass rush and get their hands on Warner's throwing arm, forcing him to fumble 2+ times, NO wins. Honestly, if Warner is on with his WR early.. he can beat most teams.
If Warner is on they can beat anybody, he is really fucking good. I think it's Charles Grant who is out for the Saints, his replacement is kind of a situational pass rushing end so it may hurt their rush D. The more I think about it, both NFC games are excellent match-ups.
Colts going to rest their starters so they're healthy for the AFC championship game.
^ lol
Gad, you take back that statement about the Vikings or you're out of FF next year!
Vikings honestly took their foot off the gas a little once they knew they were in the playoff - they will come to play this weekend. Also for any of you who have ever been to a playoff game at the Metrodome, it gets so loud you can't even hear the person next to you YELLING at you. I was at the Eagles game last year and my ears were ringing for days after and this game should be even more intense. My best of luck to Romo trying to audible in an environment like that.
Other games:
Saints over Cards - No way the Cards can stop Brees and I think the Saints will hit Warner and disrupt his rhythm somewhat
Colts over Ravens - The Ravens defense isn't what it used to be and the Colts will be well rested. Manning will not let Indy lose this game, despite what Ray Rice does
Upset special: Jets over Chargers - The Chargers are coming in a little overconfident I think. Revis has developed into a beast and will shut down Vincent Jackson. The Chargers run D is deceptively solid so it should be fairly low scoring, but I just don't see San Diego winning on the back of LT anymore like previous years
