and there are apparently a lot of countries where you cannot buy or have shipped to you from the compamy an authenticator. big fuss over on wow.com the other day over the prospect of them becoming mandatory when a lot of people can't get em.

hacked this morning then i found out my account got banned 2 hours ago..

..this morning when i tryied to log in, me and the hacker were kicking each other from the account.. so i notic somthing, i got alot saronite ores like 4 stacks and some northland herbs

Blizzard's policies towards hacking are currently fairly fluid. At the present time they are reporting an extreme upswing in hacking cases as hackers are moving more and more towards social engineering methods of gaining access to your account.

I myself have received EXTREMELY well masked phishing emails as of late that look exactly like the official Blizzard correspondence. These mails send you to a link that allows them to record you l/p. The only reason I knew these were phishing is because it did not include my first name. Blizzard account emails will always include your first name when corresponding with you about such things as bans, suspensions and changes to your account status.

Current policy is to place you in a restoration queue and then offer you a carepackage to placate you. Sometimes this is a very good thing. Othertimes this is so completely not worth it. ie If you ahve more than 2500g on your entire account then its flat out not worth it. However, restore time has gone up from 3-5 days to more like 3-5 weeks.

Theres your problem. I dont chime in much here while troll searching but if there is anything that causes problems in wow and ffxi account theft its having a lackluster virus scanner. AVG isnt worth the free price tag anymore by a long shot, it will false positive a lot and miss a lot more. Id steal yourself a copy of nod32 (or buy it, your choice) and get yourself actually protected. Very good chance you still have something mucking around in there as well.

actually, as someone who stays very deep into the tech market and spends a lot of time fixing computers for money, I know exactly whats good and whats not. AVG jumped the shark when they started charging for their premium version and made the ninja announce that the free version wasnt going to be updated nearly as well.

no, it takes a long time.. doing a new ticket will just put u back at the end of the Q. Took them nearly a week before they even got my petition. Sounds like its a rather new character though, if 90% of your gear was AH bought (like you said). So, if that's the case, the care package isn't gonna be good since your gear wasn't originally soul bound. And then its gonna take em about 3-4 more weeks

just got email from blizzard around 12am.. and yay! i got my account back. they send all the items i was missing from my main.

but still missing my other 3 chars >.< .. gona call a GM and hopefully will help me.
