A guy in my linkshell restarted completely for exactly this reason. He used to be a 75 RNG, MNK, 69 THF, 62ish PUP and couldn't restore his char.

He tried coming back once before and it didn't work but a lot of changes have happened. We got him Subjob, teles, Rank 5, Aht Urgan and past access fast so he could get about everywhere and unlock DNC. He's levelling MNK and DNC and finding that /DNC, level synch and FoV are making it a lot easier.

Once you get to 30, it's a lot, lot easier and these days getting to 30 doesn't take any time at all. Just make sure you restart with friends or someone in a similar position.

That's pretty cool, tho I'd hate to play on that page for 40-50 hours to beat that game with it being so small and ads etc..

It would be better to get an NES emulator and the FFII Rom and play full screen unless your just lazy and then use that link.

That's pretty much the only thing I'm concerned about. I don't know anyone that plays anymore or has any desire to start back up with me. I think I'll just go for it anyway, get the Ultimate collection for 20 bucks and with a free month, I don't think that's too bad even if I end up deciding against it.

Gonna bump this instead of making a new thread. Lately I've been contemplating restarting my 75whm/smm 100 leather etcetc taru on sylph. I'm gonna confer with like the 2 people I know that still play, but in anyone else's opinion (especially if you're from sylph) is it worth it? Is anyone that was around a year and a half ago still around? I about 2 months after the back in time expansion was released.

I think I'd spend a good deal crafting a boatload for a while because I just want to make some cash, seeing as I never really took too much advantage of my leather after I capped it. I don't think I want to get involved with any endgame stuff too much though because I don't have the time schedule anymore being in college (aloooot of work)

It's pretty sweet that so many people are coming back to the game with no intention of doing endgame. I've got a group of friends that are coming back to just screw around and be casuals, and I can't wait to switch back to my first server and do all the shit I didn't have time for before. Hopefully it will be just like old times.
