Did you even read the second part of the post where i basically wrote in egon/harold ramis' passing as a viable plot point to seamlessly pass the torch, while keeping the storyline?

This is seriously the worst logic. We've seen 2 trailers. Second worst than the first. Who the fuck puts the worst material in the trailers on purpose? So we have either 2 scenarios here: the whole movie is as bad or worse than what we've seen, or these people haven't a clue what's actually funny. Neither scenario is a good sign.

I can't seem to find the article that I had read that went more indepth about this stuff, but basically the directors can often have little say in what goes in a trailer, and it's often about what the marketing committee think will sell regardless of what the film is actually about. And this happens all the damn time.

It did not stop keeping Dumbledore (the character) from existing in the movies. It did stop Richard Harris (the cast member) from being in the movies. I said no one expected the original cast. I did not say no one expected the original characters.
