Yeah, I'm gonna probably go scout as well, and that's very odd, Araelus. You checked their boards any to see if anyone else had it? I installed mine to Desktop as the temporary location.

Their thread recommends yet another program to extract the .msi properly, don't know if I want to mess around with that. Will see if there's another workaround.

I don't know if I'm having an error but when I click check version, it's not able to connect to the update server. not sure if that's only because it's not even out yet lol

Yeah, that's the answer I saw on their forums, it should be up tomorrow.

If anyone else was getting the temp file extraction error, go into
Documents and Settings>USER>Local Settings>TEMP
and find all the copies of FantasyEarthZero.msi and delete them,

then uninstall and reinstall PMB.exe and do a fresh download; at least this solved my install situation. No need for a 3rd party extractor.

What element do you think, or hybrid? I'll take either pure ice or lightning.

edit: some stuff from their boards about the typical mage builds, but let's see if we can't invent something better

Fire - Deals the most damage out of the three elements, and all the spells have DoT. Inferno (FireD) is the highest damage spell for mage, and deals huge DoT, but has a relatively short range.

Ice - Deals small damage compared to the other elements, and will serve mostly as support (Ice A = Slow effect, Ice B = Freeze, Ice C = knockback + slow effect and Ice D = Freeze + Slow)

Lightning - Deals decent damage, faster casting than the other two elements, most spells will have ignore height difference, so you can attack people on top of a cliff or below you. Lightning A is pretty good for getting that last hit on the enemy. Lightning C knocks down the enemy, works similar to Lightning A, with slightly longer range but slower start up.

Typical builds:
Max Fire + Ice B + Lightning A
Max Ice + Lightning C (support build, main focus on freezing enemies and then using Lightning C to help teammates or stop enemies from retreating)
Max Lightning + Ice (if you want to increase your survivability) or + Fire (if you want to focus on dealing damage)

Greetings citizens of Mepharia!

Starting tomorrow, we begin the first Open Beta of Fantasy Earth Zero. Here is exactly what the Beta will contain:

1) Classes: Scout, Sorcerer, Warrior
2) Summons: All
3) Kingdoms: Yelsord/Netzavare
4) All Associated Battlegrounds, Towns
5) Full Localized (including voiceovers)
6) Optional Tutorial
7) All Beta Bash events
8) NPC that will make you level 20 (if you want)
9) NPC that will give out free Regenerate potions

Why only 2 Kingdoms at first? We need to test how well the servers handle multiple 100-Player wars. We'll use this data to adjust performance for the 2nd Open Beta. We'd also like the community to experience the initial entry together and thus help each other-we'll be in-game of course, but this way everyone can pitch in. Lastly, there is going to be a wipe after this Beta, and in the 2nd Open Beta, full choices (all Kingdoms, Maps) will be open. There will be no wipe after the 2nd Open Beta, so choose wisely.

In additon to that, you can expect a new, expanded website for Fantasy Earth Zero, as well as new forums for all Gamespot games.

Nice, looks like we can toy with all the classes at level 20 without having to grind.
