So, I'm sure some of you have heard me mention before "clicking through" from certain websites to help increase advertising revenue as a simple way of showing support.

The Animal Rescue Site now has a specific clickthrough for exactly this.


Basically, here's the deal:

What they do: provide food for animal shelters.

How we can help: click the box. That's it. Their advertisers pay based on how many clicks they get per day. Every last cent of advertising revenue goes directly to this purpose.


It's a pretty genius idea, really. Takes minimal work to maintain the site, all people have to do is click, and you're essentially getting pet product companies to fund animal shelters, win-win all around. If you actually click through the ads and buy stuff there, that helps too, but meh to all that, the great thing here is everyone can help just by clicking a button once a day (or even just once ever helps a little). Best of all, you don't have to click an actual ad or anything to do it.

Technically it's .6 of a bowl per click, but yeah when you're buying generic pet food in that kind of bulk it's pretty damn cheap.
