Pardon the ignorance, but DS scanner = ?
While we're exploring Sandworm issues, has anyone seen a back to back Lambton Worm? I never have, I've also seen it go 21 days without an LW.
No back to back afaik, though, I would like to take a moment to point out that mathematically, just like HQ Kings, I don't believe there is a higher chance of LW on any given day. It's just that by day10, the cumulative chance of it having been HQ on day2-10 is pretty high, so you don't often high day kings. So unless someone has conclusive proof otherwise, it's no different than any other random number/event generation.
Kinda old, no offence meant. SW sucks ass, just like when it doesn't DV and you have to kill then it doesn't repop for 3 days. It's a crappy mob and the amount of times I saw it skip a day made me cry. However, a few times we had it pop 20 mins after killing it but I believe they stopped that happening.
never even heard of back to back LW after fixed double pop glitch.
The only times I've ever seen it legitimately skip a day is... well, honestly, it was just entirely random from what I saw; as if it literally glitched and just gave everyone the finger, saying it wants a day off. The day before seemed irrelevant for the most part in relation to what monster was inside the Sandworm.
I believe I can recall such, but it was specifically in different regions, and after that we didn't see Lambton Worm for at least a week I'm sure.
In my opinion, Sandworm has three different HQ spawn rotations, simply driven by the three different zones it'll drop you in (Everbloom Hollow, Ruhotz Silvermines and Ghoyu's Reverie). View it like the ground kings I suppose, where if one HQ pops, it doesn't affect the other two in any shape or form (bar that nobody's going to be at NQ turtle after an HQ in VoS!).
Nidhogg pops, Fafnir for three days at least. Same style for Everbloom Hollow-related Sandworms. King Arthro for so many set specific days, but then eventually you'll run into Lambton Worm in Everbloom Hollow. Once you get a Lambton Worm there though, it resets back to "day one".
Next day, could get Ruhotz Silvermines, and boom, turns out it was set as Lambton Worm the entire time in the Bastok regions until it finally popped in one. As for the "minimum 'day'" requirement, I reckon it's either two or three days and can probably go all the way up to day eight or nine (as demonstrated to a degree with your experience Wulf).
Not saying this is a concrete theory, but I mean, off the top of my head, the longest time we've gone without Lambton Worm was like ten days tops, and even then that was ages ago (and it just happened to spam Windurst region zones directly after a Lambton Worm in that region for us, and then do Bastok like three days in a row, where it eventually HQ'd on roughly day five over there once you account the record it keeps per region).
On an outgoing note, if I recall (as random as it is), I believe Lambton Worm isn't reset if the people inside fail to actually defeat Lambton Worm, since not too long ago an opposing shell of ours got it, we heard they timed out, and sure enough, two days later (HQbastok>NQwindurst>HQBastok), he was up in our faces.
I don't think he's implying this is a new thing, I think he's trying to gather data to figure out if there may be a pattern or reason behind it? Like ya know, it took the community what, 1-2 years to figure out the meaning of the AV video SE released?
No offense, but that last bit is just a coincidence most likely, and I think you're having some serious issues with observer error and lack of concrete data. Also, I'm fairly certain we've seen HQWindy>NQWindy>HQWindy.
Last bit being where they didn't kill it and we got it two days later? Most definitely flawed logic, you bet, but the separate "HQ days" by region is something that's always clicked into my head honestly, whenever we're about to enter; just an idea I suppose, in the least.
Have personally seen HQ back to back wulf.
Aye this day skip has happened w/ my LS as well. Don't believe it happens with Ixion though.
Usually skips a day per month for us, and doesn't DV about once every 2 months(which isn't bad, a nice 3 day break from scanning). Definately had back to back HQ's, also definately had back to back HQ's in a specific zone(Batallia HQ > like 7 days of popping in other zones, then Batallia HQ again). Have also had 2 SW's within a couple hours of each other, but has been a very very long time, I'm gathering since they patched it.
As a side note for the no DV, the past 2 times it didn't DV for us we CFH'd it, lost all hate via zonning or w/e, engaged it again and had it DV. When we had tried that in the past we had even let it de-spawn and re-pop and still had it glitch with no DV, so idk what to say about that.
To those that DS scan and thus have quite precise pop times, does SW really have windows or not?
100% does not have windows.
No windows. Also it popped 2 hours into window today and was LW. So maybe it is just LW before or after that messes it up.
Gonna agree with you that Sandworm repops have been patched as it hasnt happened in many many months but regarding the no-Doomvoid situation, are we sure that isn't related to MMM in any way? The reason I ask is because most of the problems would happen in KA regions which also happen to be the regions used most in MMM (exp zones).
KA 2 days ago, no pop yesterday, Guivre today for us, so gonna go with no. (Coincidentally no pop same day I guess?)
Pretty sure the MMM thing is just something people want to believe for whatever reason. We had one that wasn't DVing once in ERon, so people started searching Everbloom, it eventually DVed, and the number of people in Everbloom had been pretty consistent the entire time, around 40ish IIRC.
As a side note, I don't buy the "glitched" idea at all. I think there's just a random chance (instead of a TP move or otherwise, hard to tell) for it to DV, and with random things, you will have those days where it just never rolls the random chance. Same reason you can see a day20 nid. It's rare sure, but it's just random numbers being retarded.
Didn´t DV us today in East Ronfaure. Called GM here´s what he said

Two words, cue card. In my own experience that's what 98% of GMs do, a simple copy and paste unfortunately. I've seen the same responses for countless non related situations.
These are the ones I am familiar with
"We are currently investigating blablabla for blablabla" *cough*
"I know how frustrating blablablabla can be, however..."
"We have been made aware of this issue and currently working on a solution. Unfortunately I cannot help you blablabla"
Then some like to finish off with the Player/Suggestion crap or w/e it is at the end of the conversation after they fail at giving you a service. I understand they are paid to say that at the end but jfc, it gets annoying when they can't help you with something then they slap that nonsense at the end of it all.
