Never been a a fan of that type of gamemode personally, since I enjoy killing my friends rather than working with them. But that's just me.

From what I've played my biggest complaint is that melee fights are literally rock paper scissors. Light attack beats heavy attack beats guarding beats light attack. I wouldn't mind the system but the animations just don't flow well enough for it to be anything but a guessing game. Regardless, I've been having a lot of fun playing as an alien. It's incredibly disorienting at first but once you get the hang of it things work surprisingly well.

Predator has way too much going on for my liking, so I haven't given them much of a shot. Marine is appropriately creepy but not a whole lot of fun to play when you're on your own. The demo isn't particularly impressive considering it's limited to FFA deathmatch, but I think the game will shine in team-based game modes.

shitty game. but i fucking love playing as an alien. i grew up on this crap and it they seemed to get this right. this is going to be a lowly rated, game played by few... but i love it haha. Same strategies from old AVP days played out. immediately went on a 17 kill alien skull fucking rape fest.

I miss pounce from AvP2. Maybe it just takes some getting used to, but I feel the Alien is way too immobile and very easy to take down.

And the Predator has too little HP, one second of pulse rifle fire and you're done.

Just some first impressions, hopefully it's just the one map available and/or the abomination that is DM that makes it feel a bit off.

like one of the other posters said. its damn near hopeless unless you work together. back in the day my friends and i could pull it off well by ssticking together movie style
