Fullscreen on second monitor

I just got around to hooking up my second monitor. Is there a way to have a program run on the second monitor at fullscreen? I'd like to be able to run a game on it and browse the web on the first one, just because the desktop is on it.

The only thing I've found was someone suggested moving all the icons and taskbar to the second monitor and just run fullscreen on the first, but that seems like it could be a problem or just annoying if I want to move it back. I have a trial of this program called Ultramon, but all that does is add arrows to move windows between the two. It still only lets the first monitor get fullscreen.

i had this problem, but sadly only way you can do that is if the game is windowed =/

You can do what the last post says, but sadly you have to make that monitor your main monitor; which in most cases makes it worthless.

Yea, I didn't think of that. As you can see by my resolutions, I have a laptop hooked up to an external monitor, so if I ever feel the need to play FFXI THAT largely, tis what I do.

But, I prefer ffxi fullscreen on laptop and my external monitor for browsing, media, ect.

All you can hope for are windowed games that support a borderless option.

Okay, thanks guys. My dad got me this second monitor so I can play Xbox in my room, but since his gf moved I don't have to fight for the TV anymore. Plus the new one is widescreen so it makes me feel weird with two different sizes.
