    I think my favorite Stephen King books were Desperation / The Regulators.

    I'm pissed they just made a shit TV movie for Desperation when they could have done something just as cool for both books as a theatrical release or HBO mini-series.

    The Shawshank Redemption is still my favorite stephen king work. The movie and book are both incredibly good.

    But as far as reads, Desperation /The Regulators was just really cool conceptually as well as a great read.

    I know I read both of them, and I think I kinda remember the plot, but wasn't those the ones he released under his own name and his pen name of Richard Bachman?
