videos all the way imo. books have always been better for legit knowledge for me, but vids always have corny bullshit to make you remember stuff for the rest of your life.
based on the breakdown though you should be fine, could prolly learn all that shit in a day or two solid without too much sweat

I watched the video but like... I took the sciences in HS. Actually I used to completely love science as a kid, I watched every Bill Nye episode like 40 times and I loved astronomy/physics etc. But even though I remember the basics of stuff (how electrons act) I don't remember which numbers on the table mean exactly what, and the vid reminded me that theyre called valence electrons or something. It's like, I know the basics but I won't be able to pass a test on this stuff. I think my strongest area is probably bio for reason unknown to me but I'm still blank on a lot of the more detailed crap.
I'd give you a rundown, but I'm writing my progress report this week.
It's hard to give you pointer ( I don't know where to start), but here is a few thing you should keep in mind while doing your exam.
#1 Look at the units.
I can't stress how important it is for any questions involving mathematics. It might looks obvious/stupid, but every answers can generally be found and confirmed easily from the units. Also keep in mind you can only sum/substract numbers with the same units. You will never get something like x = kilogram + kilogram²
Avogadro constant = #atoms/mols
Mass = kilograms
Electric current = Ampere = large quantity of electron (forgot how many)
Time = seconds
Temperature = kelvin
Force = Newton = kg * m/s²
Energy = joule = 1N/m
acceleration (gravity or normal) = m/s²
If you have a certain amouint of mols, multiplying it by avogadro constant (#atoms/mols) mean you're left with a quantity of atoms. Again, it sound obvious, but I think it's the right approach to understand what you're doing, instead of doing it because you remember the formula.
#2 Concept you should understand (laws)
Physics:
-Energy conservation (kinetic to potential, potential to kinetic). The sums of both will remain constant generally, unless some of it is turned into chemical energy, heat..etc
-If there is an acceleration, there is a force involved (Newton 2nd laws).
-Action/reaction (newton 3rd laws). If you push/pull something, you will get pushed/pulled equally (ie: you attract the Earth just as much as it attracks you)
Chemistry:
-Lavoisier principle: Nothing is lost, nothing is created
-Energy conservation (again): You need to be able to know where your energy is stored/released (stored in chemical bond, released as heat generally)
-Rutherford's model (not much of a laws, but very important. Basically, neutron have no electric charge, proton are +, electron are -, There is usually a ratio of 1 neutron:1proton:1electron, but only the proton/neutron weight something)
Biology:
-Darwin?
-Statistics?
#3 Remember important equation
F = m * a (force = mass * acceleration)
V = R * I (electric potential = resistance * current)
Current speed = acceleration * time + initial speed
Current position = ½*acceleration*time² + initial speed* time + initial position
Total energy = Kinetic + Potential
How to balance out chemistry equation (stoichiometry)
For every other question like sunspot or "lewiss" molecule, you're screwed. Typically, half of the answer can be elimatined through common sense, and the last 50% will be a guess.
For your stoichiometry question
#1 Balance the equation (make sure there is as many elements on the left and right side).
For CaO + CO2 -> CaCO3, it's already balanced (1Ca 1C and 3O on both side). However. it's pretty common to have equation that arent balanced initially. H2 + O2 = H20 for example would become 2*H2 + O2 = 2 H20
#2 Convert everything you have into mol or quantity of atoms (mols is typically used since you don't want to deal with 10^22 numbers). If you have trouble remembering what a "mol" is, both "mol" and "number of molecules" are equivalent
To convert something from grams to mol, you have to find the weight of the molecule ( First step: [add up every protons and neutron contained inside the atoms of that molecule]*mass of a neutron. Second step: Take into consideration if you have more than 1 of that type of molecule in the equation). If they give you the molar mass, you have it easy. 44g/mol mean your 22g is equal to 0.5mol
#3 Use the "balanced equation" and find how many mols you need
Since 1 molecule of CaO + 1 molecule of CO2 = 1 molecule CaCO3 is like saying 1 mol of CaO + 1 mol of CO2 = 1 mol CaCO, having 0.5 mol of CO2 mean you will also have 0.5mol of CaO and CaCO.
#4 Convert it back to whatever unit they want
CaO is 56g per mol. We have half a mol. You will need 26g of it to react with 22g of CO2
