I don't like the way Hastings behaves. He's like a shady corporate executive rather then a director of a counter intelligence organization.

Dana Walsh is so weak as a character. I mean some stalker guy tracks her down and she works for the government, I'm sure she could have him arrested or something. Letting him into her apartment was a huge "WTF was she thinking" moment.

I really like how they are bringing in Renee on the whole operation but I don't know how I like her being so jack-like about it. It makes me wonder how she even got 'in' with the russian guys to begin with since she was such a newbie at being hardcore before. She was supposed to be undercover with these guys before season 7 happened. So it just puzzles me.

She fucked her way through the organization the first time, they implied as much very clearly in a few places. My only hesitation with her being Jack 2.0 is that Jack as far as I can remember never knowingly harmed an innocent person (outside of killing Chappelle?). Sure he tortured some people that ended up being innocent but there was always the uncertainty when he did it, this guy is technically innocent in this whole deal even if he was a criminal/is still on parole.

-Dana. Seriously, I can't even comprehend how stupid this bitch is. The character is absurdly unauthentic and unbelievable. You work for CTU and you're seriously going to tell me that you can't get Captain America to beat this guy's ass or have Jack stop by? Give me a break.

I agree with everything said about Dana, she could have easily told CTU security she had no idea who he was and be done with it. She has too many resources at her disposal for a jackass like him to be a threat. The only reason I'm forcing myself to believe this story is because he knows some disastrous secret that would ruin her and assuming they used to be in love and he was abusive in some way. (Some chicks just can't seem to say no to that jerk-off who beats them)

Agreed. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until it also ends bad. Setups are not as important as the whole journey.
