You can tell I did have bad luck, that was me zoning back in and reclaiming at 3% because I had gotten tagged with Ice Break when I was trying to nuke him to finish it, CS was down from Limbus still so I had to bind/para/slow him then swap gear over and over to inch my way out of the zone, the only luck I had was that I was at the top of the stairs when he used it.

Just to let you know, if you just bind it after you get hit by that and blink your way away and then enfeeble it after you get away from its attacks you can actually just straight tank it while you inch away. I did it for almost 5 minutes once, it was fucking awful, stupid bind would NOT break for anything, I took almost 1k damage before it wore off on its own.

Everything you see there is NQ, enfeebling torque/earring, full merits, P.Rope, NQ Rainbow, Tamas + Hale iirc. I think I saw one resist the entire time. For fuck's sake, I had a Wise Cap on.

I know merits were a little weaker in '05, but by the sound of it, Zip is now easier to bind. It also sounds like you had a weird build of nq ice + enfeebling earring.

I'll admit my melee gear wasn't perfect, but it was decent (misercorde/joyeuse, suppa/brutal, sh, turban, dusk gloves, dusk+1 feet, amemet+1, pcc, swift, relic legs, 2x 5 acc rings, no sword/dagger merits, idr what food i used, i think sushi. 293 enhancing skill for enspells), and i couldn't even come close to beating it's regen. If i had to guess, it's probably 50/tic, but it could possibly be more, certainly no less.

I won't say for sure it's impossible, but i would be very surprised if it's soloable (if you still consider it to be a solo with people killing adds).

Avesta's suzy solo video was up for download from filefront long before he posted them on youtube. My memory is a bit fuzzy but I think I have seen it because that's where I used to go when I was looking for his videop clips (that's why I was a bit surprised when Rog mentioned Avesta's personal website cuz I am not even aware of its existance). I am quite sure after hakutaku, the next lots of NM solo attempts are Seriyu and Suzy.

Oh, and unless you get a link (in which case you should pull more carefully) there should be no reason whatsoever to die to Aerns on a mage job, especially one with as much gear as he had. By the same token, wiping to Zipacna with that kind of gear is pretty lol as well. The only difference is that those who have better hand eye coordiation/quick reflex/multitasking skills are less likely to do so, and you don't have to go through all his video clips to tell if a player is good at those things.
