Xbox 360 questions

I just bough a 360(elite version) and i want to know if there's a way to know if the motherboard on it is the newer version and i want to ask for a few tips to prolong the life of my 360 like should I keep it straight up or lay down? Can i use regular HDMI cables or do i need a special cable done by micro? and what games are must buy?(arcade and 360xclusive since i get the rest on PS3)

$4 hdmi from amazon. Lay it down so 360 doesn't eat your discs. Never move it when it's on. Halo. Fable. Splinter cells.

If you bought it new chances are it's a Jasper, but you can check the info on the back of the Xbox and it should say 12,1A on the 12v rail. Lay it down as some people say that standing it up can lead to it eating up discs. Should work with any HDMI, Xbox only has 1.2 HDMI port, so any old one should work fine, 1.3a will still work with it

I think he's more referring to that only 10% of games on the store have a demo, and only a good 5% even have a gameplay video or trailer.

I usually end up having to youtube vids and go search sites for info thanks to the lack of trial material. Not to mention most game demos don't come out until a week or two after its release, which doesn't help any.

Microsoft mandates demos/vids iirc, but I'm assuming Gold memberships help pay for the bandwidth consumed by them. >.>

Star Ocean international edition comes out on February 2nd. Tales of vesperia doesn't look like it will ever be ported to the ps3 for the states.

Still not sure if I want to buy the ps3 version of star ocean 4, I own the 360 version, but if there is a lot of extra stuff then I might.

Also I don't know how the online is anymore, but if you have friends to play with locally, I also recommend Castle Crashers, it's a fun one.

Lost Odyssey is your traditional jrpg

SE rpg? you mean Last Remnant

If you buy it on 360 you will need to install it to the HD to reduce lag issues. If your pc can run most things I would suggest getting the pc version from Steam.

Lost Odyssey was so much more enjoyable than Last Remnant, and had a really interesting plot/story telling with the memories.

You can buy ME1 off of xbox live for 19.99 just need ~7gb HD space

yea saw that last night same with gears of war but i prefer the hard copy, btw anyone here tried the xbox originals? i'm so tempted to buy jade empire(sold my xbox copy couple of years ago )

The only original I bought from live is NG black and it works perfectly it's just that when you play them you can't check your friend's list or anything until you get off of the game.
