    Droid phone app question

I know once you jailbreak an iphone you can install pretty much any app that you want. Can you do the same with the droid? I know you can get to the root of the droid but not sure about the apps thing. Let me know thanks!

You don't need to root the droid to install 3rd party apps. Just go to settings > applications and check "unknown sources". That will allow you to install applications outside the market.

There's some specific apps both inside and outside the market that require rooting though. But they're usually for things such as customizing the theme and other things that require full root access rights.
