Super Street Fighter IV will join it on April 27th in North America and April 30th in Europe. New characters, new combos, and the return of the smash-a-car bonus stage (see pic!) are highlights of the not-yet-priced though sure-to-be affordable followup.
Supposed to be priced at 40 bucks + DLC costumes from the first will work on SSFIV.
Makoto and Cody all the way (and please god give Bison a standing overhead). Actually this game should really just add in universal overheads for all characters, move Taunt to the select button and have HP+HK be the overhead.
Juri ftw, T-hawk will be annoying, I'm glad they're nerfing Sagat and possibly Ryu (his FP SRK has two-hits, what exactly that entails I'm not sure yet but it's a change more than a nerf to ryu)

Hopefully we'll see more than shotos online
His FP SRK being 2 hits is just gonna lead to people using LP or MP instead, which really doesn't mean anything, not much reason to use his HP one in normal SF4 anyways, outside of guaranteed combos or deep antiairs
"nerf" ryu's HP srk but give him shin shoryuken while nerfing the other top tiers means ryu will be god tier.
If it operates the same way it did in SF3 (where it would only connect fully if you do with your opponent on the ground), there is no reason in hell to use his SRK Ultra over his current one. Ryu's strength is in his practically punish free poking game and the ease at which he can use his ultra. I seriously doubt a SRK ultra is going to be easier to use then a fireball one.

What would bison need an overhead for if he has a quick ass throw and an already nasty poke game. I don't think they should add overheads to everyone, as it would take away the uniqueness of the characters that do have them. If they did that, they might as well give everyone a damn shoryuken and command throw for good measure.
Edit: as for Ryu's metsushoryken, if he can FADC into it for full damage and use it as an anti air in the same way he can with his current FP Shoryuken, it will definitely be comparable to his current ultra as far as utility is concerned.
If it's more like Ken's current ultra then I don't see why people would bother using it in competitive play.
but who knows, they may even scale the damage back on his fireball ultra, which would make people choose between having an easily combo'd ultra or a more situational yet higher damage one.

Well supposedly it's possible to fadc into shin srk at least in some of the builds and if it does as much damage as Gouken's ultra where it doesn't fully connect, that's still a good chunk of damage plus the ability to hit it big on the ground. Anyways, even if he's left untouched, the rest of the top tiers are getting nerfed while signs point to Ryu not getting nerfed, at least yet.
So far i've seen no one, and yes Juri or bust for me. I'mma still stick to Cammy for a bit but i'mma use Juri and the rumored Ibuki if it's still happening (sorry not up to date w/ the news).
Juri to me seems like the closest thing to a Guilty Gear character w/ her custom combo ultra. Fun times, fun times.
just them, with Guile (small) and Claw (big) getting buffed, I can't remember exactly what they're doing to Guile but I know they're giving Claw some half-decent buffs to bring him up from dan-tier a little bit
ryu's ultras will probably end up being like Viper's, in that one will be easy to pull off for lower damage (fireball/the new kick for viper) versus their other ones which will be harder to pull off for bigger damage (metsu-srk/burst time), at least that's the feeling i get from it, hopefully it won't be as easy to get off as gouken's ultra
i'm really looking forward to all of the ultras though, i think that'll add a lot of variability to online play (which is lollable, but i don't really have time to find 'serious' players)
i'm really looking forward to people who don't just mash SRK as soon as i start a string, just in case i miss something so they can punish me easily.
