Great success on desktop, had an Intel chipset. Seem to be getting some hardware skipping but that's a far lesser issue.

I can't wait until the time in some tournament where a guy brings in a keyboard to play ;o

Is the stick that comes with this worth a damn?
It's actually not the worst starter stick. It's not that good and it's not something you can easily swap the parts out for better ones without soldering like the madcatz sticks, but for the price it's usable.
Before you buy that, I'd try popping your zip code in here: http://www.gamestop.com/browse/store...02972&CCTest=1
and see if there's any of those within driving distance
edit: I probably made the hori stick in the tekken bundle sound worse than it is, my buddy got that exact same one and it works great for something that comes with a game as well, especially for $40, I would just generally recommend madcatz sticks first for the ability to upgrade parts when you're ready to move to a better stick. If you can't find one of the SF4 sticks at a gamestop nearby I wouldn't pay more than $40-50 for them so you'd be well-served to just buy the tekken thing.
Peace PSN.
GFWL I'm in there: I Am STRANGLA
A wireless stick is the worst thing you can buy.
No, Playstation Network is the worst thing you can use, lol. But yeah, any wireless stick is awful.
Welcome to the bright side Balb!
Played someone from Britain last night, like no lag, was amazing.
Edit: also want to confirm that the VIA USB chip that was referenced above worked with my PS3 TE for those still skeptical.
Getting better! Just not getting...well, good, lol...I'll try to have more from last night up later, actually going to have to do a bit of work before the end of the day.
Damn, just looking at the replay I can see that I'm using tsurugi wayyyyyyy too often... I need to just dash up and grab more, lol
This just in:
http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2011/a...game-division/
Explains why Yipes announced his deal with Broken Tier this weekend. Poor Dieminion though, just got played like a sucker. One of the longest running and most well known gaming groups in our community, Empire Arcadia, has suspended their fighting game division. Isaiah "Triforce" Johnson made the announcement on the official YouTube channel for Empire Arcadia.
Triforce added that the division will open up again at some point in the future, and members can re-apply at that time.
Calli, did you see Uryo blowing people up with Sakura at Godsgarden? I can link you the matches if you want.
Also, you look like you're getting ready to read the footsies hand book. (it's a basically a how-to on how to play a footsies character well) I don't want to overwhelm you with information though, but I see you have potentialI certainly wasn't capable of hitting any sakura combo's 2 months into playing street fighter
Don't get it. If you want to lean how to play the game well, just pay whatever price it is to buy a TE fight stick. You can always buy the Madcatz SE (Standard edition, runs about 40-50$). But if you're just going to fuck around and play for shits and giggles, you might as well use a regular controller.
Yeah I saw all of Godsgarden, that was actually the point where I was like 'no, fuck that, I'm sticking with her' after I had debating changing to an easier character, lol. And yeah my current main goals to learn are better footies and option selects for throw techs, I'm getting a lot better at things like mixing up my jump-in tactics and coming with empty jumps into throws or DPs against FAs, but I'm still jumping in wayyy to much. Getting in on hado spammers is still a major challenge for me atm as well, Sagat fucking wrecks me because of this.
Yep. Biggest thing is knowing when to block or reversal on defence. You got dem mixups, now all you have to really have to focus on is how to play 'solid' by not giving your opponent any openings, and also how to troll people with Sakura's DP.
If you're ever bored at work, I suggest you read this. http://sonichurricane.com/?page_id=1702
It may seem like an information overload, but that's basically the street fighter bible right there. Even if you don't understand all of the concepts, once you notice them in real matches a light bulb will go off in your head and you'll feel like you're improving because of it. If you ever get frustrated or feel like you're not improving at a pace you're comfortable with, you can always go back to it and learn something. I always brush it over whenever I feel like I've reached a plateau skill wise and it's always helped me out.
Thanks, I'll have a look. One thing that I had no idea you could do until I saw someone(Nitsuki or jimbo, forgot which) do last night was to FADC backdash out of a bad DP, I shat bricks when I saw it and I can't imagine how many times it could have saved me when I did a bad HP or EX DP but had spare meter to burn.
Yep, Sakura gives you like 17 years to hit confirm her DP because it does so many hits. You can literally throw out a random EX dp, and have plenty of time to decide if you want to let it rip, or FADC out to safety. Sakura can also combo after her DP on hit so it's like a win/win for you
