    co-signing, also works in lunix/mac.
    the spec he posted is good enough.

    Blu-Ray player is enough to seal the deal honestly. Not to mention, the forthcoming firmware update to play games on 3-D televisions.

    This is actually a huge plus, especially considering the upgradable harddrives. One question though, I am pretty sure that they keep saying that you cant install different OSs on the PS3 slim which is what I'm looking at buying. Is there something I dont know, I haven't done the necessary research for that and dont really know where to look.

    the triple fats have an option in the system menu to "install other os" this was removed. it's probably still possible to install on a slim, but it would be more of a traditional "hack the console" deal

    Not worth it anyway, OS's generally run like shit on the PS3 due to them limiting what it can access to prevent people hacking the console
