Also, the last time I'm gonna say it.. I'm tryin' really hard here to check myself the least you can do is the same.
did you just link me to a page listing what they are currently talking about in congress and try and pass it off as accomplishment?
it boggles my mind that people like you finally have all the pieces needed to get what you want in washington yet only make excuses when nothing is done. the 2 party system is so fucking broken.

also, stop this civil bullshit about not wanting to start things. what conversation is there to have other than a political argument? "Well steve, there is an election going on didn't you hear?" "oh thanks for the heads up karl, ill go look"
honestly you can't be like "so this election will change everything and has huge implcations of bad shit happening, dont say anything bad." civil = agreeing with you.

No I linked you to a page that had the legislative accomplishments of the current Congress along with everything else that was currently in debate or committee, and you decided not to look at the part of the page that says "Public Laws, 111th Congress (selected)". My fault here was not pointing out that this list isn't complete (i.e. fair pay & mental health parity Act aren't listed) and that it's a Senate page not a overall Congress page.

what conversation is there to have other than a political argument?
Oh I don't know.. how about just straight information reporting without having to deal with partisan bickering for once? Maybe instead of injecting partisanship into it look at it for once with an objective eye, as if you were watching a sports event as a neutral party? There's quite a few of us here who have so far managed to do it - why can't you?

I think you're all wrong the voters are going to do, symbolically, what that some Dem big whig said. Something along the lines of, "Why vote for the people that crashed and walked away from the scene of the accident?"

That irony of that line tops anything Obama or Biden have goofed so far.

Still lots of blank spots in Bristol/Plymouth/Worcester counties, but Brown is winning the towns along the 495 loop.

Coakley's getting slaughtered. Bye-bye democrat supermajority, hello complete legislative gridlock (as opposed to the near compete gridlock from before).

Without a whole lot of double-speak here, what did Democrats do with their lock-down on legislation in 2009 that makes them deserving of continued support?

Brown even being close in this race is a huge referendum on Obama-care, and the anger with incumbents nation wide.

I just don't think Brown can pull it out though, 51% of the population is independent or un-enrolled. The other 49% break in a 3 to 1 for dems. In a simple numbers game, it never looks good for a Republican here. Even one as centrist as Brown.

    OLO! Hi ya sleepy bastard!

Just in conversation the past few days it's very surprising how many staunch democrats are thoroughly disgusted with Coakley and planning on voting for Brown. Coakley assumed she could win with no effort and is facing the consequences. Almost all of the ads I've seen on tv for her have been trying too hard to make Brown sound like he eats babies, while his have actually tried to show why he wants you to vote for him instead of not voting for a baby-eater.

Polls were pretty busy I guess, should be interesting to see how it all turns out. And yes, I voted for Brown, gogo baby-eater!
