Reid. The fact that he couldn't stand up to Lieberman in late 2008/January 2009 let alone a weakened GOP senate minority to the point where there are still high ranking posts awaiting confirmation in the senate makes my cynical side giddy with anticipation as to what antics the republicans will manage to pull off with a guaranteed filibuster.

This election hopefully has lit a fire under Dem's asses. Time to push through Universal Health Care before this guy is sworn in.

Because it's a matter of fixing a system that needs fixing. Do you think its a good thing that poor people are denied health coverage? If social security or welfare were being introduced now, would they have voter support? Probably not, but you don't see anyone complain about them being "forced down our throats"

MA has excellent health care as is. The national health care policy would have, in my understanding anyways, limited our states' ability to provide the high quality health care that it currently provides.

On top of that there is the outrageous marriage penalty for subsidized insurance.

The national health care bill took MAs healthcare coverage and put it through a shredder and then shouted that, "hey! we took a page from MA! They have great healthcare!"

Again, that's just my rough understanding of it. I could be totally wrong.

Might be barking up the wrong tree, I seem to recall Egon making a case for why pre-existing condition policy denial is okay thought I may be mistaken.

they both blame each other always. democrats have been screaming waaaah republican filibuster for the last year

hahahahahaha you make it sound like the public votes for people based on voting record.

Personally no, I don't want to give poor people health care. I want to give them a job so they can pay for their own.

    I love this guy.

He claims he ran on an issues oriented campaign. He didn't, he ran on his pick-up truck and JFK's image!

He claims he ran against the establishment, and yet he's the state senator, he's the establishment!

This campaign is total textbook. It's beautiful.

the irony is, there has to be losers in a free market (what he is for), yet he refuses to acknowledge they exist for any other reason than laziness.

Who's the "base"? There isn't much of one in a state like Massachusetts. After all, Coakley's campaign was "The tea partiers who are affiliated with Sarah Palin endorsed him!".

Can we finally put to rest the stupid meme of "liberal media bias"?
Absolutely not. Until less than 90% of them vote for Democrats, there is little hope of that happening.

I was wondering today what kind of spin would have come from the right if Brown were a democrat. He posed nude in Cosmo, he has no family values! He's bad for the country! His daughter is hot, clearly a whore!

Seriously. Spouting the propaganda you hear on Fox News is a terrible way to make any headway in a serious debate.

If you want to defend the country, pick up a gun! Don't take money from me to fight your wars.

Honestly, I hope you don't believe the things you're saying.
