Inserting RAM Advice

Thanks everybody... I have decided to return the RAM and just upgrade my PC in the next 3-6 months as it is 2-2.5 years old (almost the longest I've gone without upgrade).

My reasoning is that adding some RAM was supposed to be a quick fix to some latency issues and since I am running Win7 it should be ok. This did not turn out to be the case and I have become very tired and lazy in my old age (and small condo with no workspace).

Thanks to everyone who provided ideas, etc. it is much appreciated.

The board might have an actual limitation built in. I agree though, just save up to get a new board/comp
