Braid. Trials HD
Geometry Wars 1 and 2 are pretty damn fun.
Castlevania: SotN !
Better have Uno on the list.
trials, marble ultra (i think its called that), castle crashers, just browse DL the freebies and pay if u like them.
N+ is awesome, also Rez and Zuma![]()

Uno is serious business.
Boom Boom Rocket is pretty fun.
Marble Blast Ultra and Geometry Wars
Great call, I absolutely love Geometry wars. I also would recommend Physics Sandbox, Solar (Great game) and Final Fantasy: Crystal Defenders. Those 3 I play quite often and enjoy thoroughly.
But like Morgan Freeman said, both Castle Crashers and Shadow Complex should be on everyones list.
If you want sega arcade classics:
Outrun Arcade
and Afterburner Climax is coming soon.
picked up Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment last night with some leftover points. BARELY even 4 missions in, but so far it looks like a keeper if you enjoy SRPGs (or the original).
I thought the style would throw me off but it looks gorgeous in HD, and so far I am really liking it.
bumpin', I can't imagine this is the extent of XBLA stuff.
I think the big XBLArcade games are Limbo, Deathspank and Castlevania, but is there anything else from the past few months that's been really worthwhile?
Shadow Complex and Castle Crashers are probably the best.
Personally, I'm a sucker for simple RTS/economic sim games, so I really liked Kingdom for Keflings as well as Outpost Kaloki X, but they're not for everyone.
Also decent: Penny Arcade Eps 1 & 2, Portal, Limbo, Castlevania, Deathspank, Braid, PB Winterbottom, Gyromancer, Rez, Monkey Island 1 & 2 SE
You should definitely check out Xbox indies too. Aphelion, Soulcaster, radiangames JoyJoy are probably my favorites, and most of them cost $1 or $3 (there are trials for all of them). I made a thread about them in case you missed it:

swt, thorough as always, Atreides
that's what I do baby
I was going to make a post in the style of my xbox indies thread but then I realized that for whatever reason xbox.com's screenshots for XBLA games are in silverlight, while indies are in jpeg format, so I can't make it all pretty with uniformly sized screenshots.
But anyway:
Great:
Braid - Stylish indie platformer, arguably the game that kicked off the stylish indie platformer craze. Still one of the best though, for a reason.
Castle Crashers - The king of xbox multiplayer. Fun to play with friends, but it has plenty of stuff to collect/do if you're playing single player.
Crystal Defenders - Square Enix's tower defense game, set in a final fantasy-ish universe. Gets pretty challenging and has no story, but a good TD game.
Deathspank - Diablo-style hack n slash with lots of humor/style and a great story. Unicorn Poop!
Defense Grid: Awakening - Tower defense, very straightforward and solid.
Gyromancer - What happens when Square Enix takes on the puzzle quest formula. Very addictive if you like the gem switching and leveling Puzzle RPG gameplay.
Limbo - Dark (literally and figuratively) side scrolling platformer, with puzzles and gruesome deaths for failing them. Kinda overpriced at $15 for 3 hours.
Monkey Island 1 & 2 SE - Reskins of the original point and click adventures with full voice overs, great opportunity to catch up on these if you never played them.
Penny Arcade Episodes 1 & 2 - A humorous adventure with turn-based battles and other RPG elements, set in a steampunk 1920's.
Portal: Still Alive - The same Portal from Orange Box, with extra levels from the flash version.
Rez HD - A port of the PS2 game, a sort of rail shooter game but with every action having a sound, making a techno beat as you play.
Shadow Complex - Metroid-style side scrolling adventure, with guns and upgrades and a great story. This is most people's favorite XBLA game.
Zeno Clash - A really weird first-person fist fighter, with some really satisfying gameplay and a very unique sense of style. There's a sequel in the works too.
Good:
A Kingdom for Keflings
Axel & Pixel
Bionic Commando Rearmed
Carcassonne
Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
Exit 1 & 2
Geometry Wars 1 & 2
Magic the Gathering
N+
Outpost Kaloki X
P.B. Winterbottom
Puzzle Quest 2
Risk
Sam & Max Seasons 1 & 2
'Splosion Man
The Maw
Trials HD
Vandal Hearts
Watchmen
Good remakes/ports
Castlevania: SotN
Earthworm Jim HD
Ikaruga
Prince of Persia Classic
Rocket Knights
Serious Sam HD
Also worth mentioning:
0 Day: Attack on Earth, Age of Booty, Aqua, Catan, Cell Factor: Psychokinetic Wars, Death by Cube, Lucidity, Marble Blast Ultra, Matt Hazard Blood Bath & Beyond, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai
edit: There's also a few games coming in the next few weeks/months: Shank and Lara Croft look like they could have potential but I'm not holding my breath. Hydrophobia was looking a bit unpolished when I last saw it but it's probably my most anticipated title for XBLA by far. The Behemoth (Castle Crashers) has a new game in development, ACE (Zeno Clash) is working on Rock of Ages, and Ninjabee should have World of Keflings out this year too. Supposedly there's a lot more DLC to come for Castlevania HD too, new maps and characters.
Nice list, I'll have to come over my games and see if there's anything I can add later. I actually haven't played a majority of what's listed in the higher tiers so hopefully they'll keep me busy for awhile.
I'd love to hear more top-down shooter recommendations aside from Ikaruga if anyone has them, dying for bullet hell lately.
the new Risk is worth putting on that list too, at least in the GOOD tier.
