    Wireless headsets.

Does anyone have any good recommendations on a wireless headset. Looking mainly for voice chats and listening to music.

I use the Creative HS-1200 and while it's a functional enough wireless headset it has a few issues with it. The headset itself is either made for someone with the head the size of a pea or I just have an abnormally large head so the earpieces jam onto my head quite hard. The cushioning of the headset itself isn't exactly the best in the world either so can lead to a bit of discomfort after wearing it for a couple of hours. The sound quality is pretty good though, and from what people tell me the mic quality is excellent. Another gripe is the range of the radio reciever it uses. I can't even make it into my kitchen without the sound getting blotchy and broadcasting static over TS/Vent, but that could just be because I live in a really old house with asstardedly thick walls. The HS1200 is pretty old now, I got it when they where first released so I'm sure you can find something better.

I got the Logitech ClearChat PC Wireless for ~$100 (www.logitech.com/index.cfm/webcam_communications/internet_headsets_phones/devices/4226&cl=us,en) a while back, and while I love the freedom you have with sitting back out of normal wire range, I do have one problem with it; I keep getting distorted sound every ~20min for a whole second, kind of like the headset is picking up interference from something (thinking it's could be my phone connecting to wifi, since it's close enough).

It could be that the headset itself is faulty, but I won't jump to that conclusion yet.
I did try using a normal headset to check if the problem is from my PC, but that works normally.

I'll try relocating my phone and testing again soon, but this is my experience with it for now. If anyone has a way of solving this, or can confirm similar experiences, please do comment.

Oh, and I forgot to mention it comes with a DC charger, and a rechargable built-in battery that lasts around 5 hours, which is pretty good.

I was gonna pick up some wireless deal last time at best buy, and ran across their bluetooth devices on the way out. I ended up getting a Jabra Halo instead because I can use that with my phone or any bluetooth device. My pc didn't have a bluetooth receiver so I had to get one of those from newegg. The sound is not too bad, and I guess the mic is ok, dunno. There is no mic wand on it, it's just a plastic U that folds kinda like when you cross your arms, the opening/closing is what turns it on and off. It also comes with a wire to connect to a standard headphone plug, but I dunno if/how the mic works in that case.

One other good thing about the HS1200 is that it uses a rechargeable battery thats usb powered and the headset still works when its plugged in / rechargeing via the usb receiver.
