If Ben is helping MIB because he was promised the island, why would he continue to help after he heard MIB's plan to blow it up?

Yeah, was waiting for something surprising. It was a great episode so don't get me wrong. But it was great cause it was straight forward and got us to our finale. While still giving us answers.
things that caught my attention:
- I honestly thought there would be more to it to choosing who is the next Jacob rather than Jack stepping right in. I thought Jack stepping in right away was so predictable and it would've been cool to see Sawyer jump in and want to take the role because of Juliet, Jin and Sun.
- I was really intrigued in how Desmond and Hurley acted when they met up with Ana Lucia, Kate and Sayid... "She's not ready yet..."
- Where did Miles go? WTF is his significance?
- Widmore and Richard... WTF?
- I honestly thought we would see Rose and Bernard in this episode... Or even Frank but I have no clue what he is up to. Prolly being totally badass somewhere.
- Locke saying he wants to destroy the island was kinda predictable to me... How he does it? I have no idea, but it has to involve Desmond somehow and the heart of the island.
- Finale will probably have Jack fixing Locke which could end in it not working or it working. What would be cool is if Jack fixes Locke in the flash-sideways and Jack does something like paralyze Locke in the island reality. By paralyze it could mean trap him on the island for a long ass time and ruin his plans entirely.
- It was pretty cool how Jacob explained the crossing out on the wall as in its not really what it is and that Kate can take the job if she wants to, she would just have to choose between protecting the island or protecting Aaron/Je Yeon..
FUCK I WANT THIS FINALE ALREADY!!! SO MANY IDEAS!
Why do people keep acting like Kate would protect Je Yeon? She still has a family. A grandpa and grandma that she is currently with. It's not like she's living on the streets. What person and or court in their right mind would hand off a child to a random felon that just happened to be trapped on an island with her parents for a bit?
I would assume she wouldn't totally disappear from Je Yeons life after what happened to Jin/Sun. She mentioned in the epi how Jin never even saw her yet. I dunno, it just seems like the way Kate is. I have no idea, maybe theyll never leave the island. Maybe they will all stay together on the island in tribute to everyone who have passed.
I hate to say it cause it's gonna make so many people rage but I honestly think it's gonna end with another stalemate similar to Jacob/MIB. The final shot will probably be Jack doing the whole Jacob touchy thing to some stranger and the cutting to the Lost title. It makes sense in the way that Lindelof and Cuse both said that they weren't really finishing the series by answering every question or something like that.
Amongst everything else, I forgot Richard got obliterated. I'm wondering if he can't die, or he just doesn't age. I mean he got fucking SLAMMED harder than anyone in the show lmao.
Fan trailer for the finale that Damon Lindelof Tweeted(I will never be able to use that word without cringing).
Friend and myself at work were discussing this today and he said he thought he would end with Jack and Locke having the same conversation on the beach that we saw MiB and Jacob having. I thought that sounded about right with the way it was heading; unless something tonight changed that possibility, Red Dead made me forget about tonight <_<.
That has been the "MAIN" speculation since season 5.
So, any theories as to who let Desmond out of the well?
you guys and your red dead. makes me wanna go buy it.
Biggest question on my mind now is how the flash sideways ties into the main island story, because i can't for the life of me figure out how they are gonna handle that.
