Wow...I'm not even sure how I feel. Not sure what I expected, but the episode overall was amazing. The last few minutes just need to sink in to see how I feel. Everything just went numb.

And yeah, my understanding was the original crash at the start of the series actually killed them all, and they were little lost souls looking for their way to heaven/hell.

Way I'm interpreting it is that the island is real. Eventually, when they all died, their spirits or w/e came together and created the sideways world, and then once they were reunited, they were able to move on.

That's why Hurley and Ben said "were good number1/2"

I loved when Hurley and Ben acknowledged Hurleys reign as the islands protector. Confirms for me at least that the sideways was kinda a limbo for the people who were on the island after they died.... be it years before or a long time in the future.

plane crash is just homage/tribute to the series

it ended how it began, i was already crying when jack was approaching the bamboo fields and they zoomed in on the shoe on the bamboo shoot. Then vincent came over and at that point it was the icing on the cake, i lost it at that point.

Amazing series, amazing ending, i don't know if i'll ever be the same again.
