I'm gonna rewatch that finale more then anything ever. Prolly more then Vanilla Sky and Eternal Sunshine.

Just....wish...the real John Locke had actually got a decent and deserving ending. But I guess dead is dead and I am satisfied with what I got. At least until the epicness wears off in time and then I can bitch about what we didn't get out of it later.

Locke would've been the best island leader ever. Although I am sure Hurley was great. Hell, Jack was better a better leader in the two hours he had then Jacob was in the thousands he had. He at least saved people rather then getting others killed and setting off 'evil'.

I misquoted you. Anways, there's still LAPD out there with arrest warrants out for those two I would think the feds would be busting up that funeral pretty quickly. Even though Hurley could give them bail. I dunno the whole thing makes more sense to me as an alternate universe then some spiritual afterlife.

How / why would the feds break up the funeral. It was all a place they made for themselves. In order for the feds to do so, would be them making it up to fuck with one another. Could see Charlie doing it for a good laugh.

Don't like those Rock Band games but find it great that they are putting Lost songs in the game.

Desmond has a dream in sideways/afterlife of the reality where he is the button pusher. He realizes that he and everyone in that reality is doomed so he wants to bring them together to a place where it's much brighter right? Still human rules, still humans doing their day to day routines, some are calling it purgatory. What if it's not?

Desmond shows the Losties how to remember the island reality, the times shared, the connections made with one another until they're all gathered at a church for a funeral. What if it wasn't something they created? What if it was a group of people that believe they died?

Ok, now that we have all seen the finale (which was phenomenal), can anyone tell me the significance of the Lost Last Supper?? Because right now that picture does not make any sense to me..

I figured that once everyone moved on, the world they created for themselves would adapt to this. So Miles, Daniel, Charolette, Ben, Eloise and others left behind would continue on living but their memories of Sawyer, Desmond, Jack etc would be erased until the day they are finally ready to let go. So there won't be feds looking for Kate & Sayid, Miles won't be wondering where his partner went etc... (I guess Eloise will still know everything, as she is some kind of Dr.Who being who transcends time and space)

Yeah, I'm not sure I liked Flocke's death. If he was MiB entirely, it wouldn't be an issue, but that monster still had some Locke left inside him, and because of this, it feel like he deserved some form or redemption or whatever.

The explanation is probably something along the line of MiB's soul merged with Locke memories, but leaving something like this up in the air is lame for Locke.

You forget the part where we actually saw them die on the island. Shepard was dead in both realities as well, so Jack hallucinated him?

You would need a solid argument to believe they aren't dead, because stating otherwise is ignoring everything they said.

    It's real simple.

The "Flash Sideways" takes place after everybody is dead, and has nothing to do with the story. It's purgatory, and in the afterlife Desmond gathers everybody together for them to meet at the Church the way they did for a reunion because they all meant so much to eachother. Once together, they 'move on'.

The island is still the island. Jack dies there after doing his thing, Hurley stays behind with Ben to protect the light and die at an unknown time later. Everybody on the plane escapes home and presumably lives out their life. Thats the story, flash sideways takes place after all that. They don't ever explain what the fuck the island is, it just fucking is and you're supposed to accept it.

Yeah, it sucks. There's a million plot holes never answered, and some things flat out don't go together at all. You have to ignore all that and get emo about the reunions in order to enjoy the episode.

What millions of plot hole were ignored? There really isn't many thing left up in the air after the finale, aside a few insignicant questions.

Since Hurley is protecting the island.. doesnt he live for hundred and hundred of years? So how the hell is the sideway hurley suppose to 'wake up' if his real self isn't even dead yet?

How did Desmond know about everything in the sideway world? I'm assuming it was after his second experience with electro magnetism somehow gave him the know it all power?

You said 'move on'... care to give your take on what they meant?

    BUT WHO BUILT THE STATUE???!??!
And why strange things happen on an island where Hell is contained, sealed by the light of Heaven?
How an immortal woman who can "rule" human beings can kill a few hunters?
Also, why there is no clear info about the Guardians' power level? Is Jacob over 9000, i mean OFFICIALLY?
    Jeeezz..

Christian Shepard addressed everything in his speech to Jack. I don't have the exact wording but he made it clear that everyone dies, and once they do, they will join this reality that isn't bound by time.

Hurley most likely lived a long time, and that's who Christian was refering to when he said that "some people lived a long life". Again, since this limbo is outside time, it doesn't matter when they dies.

Desmond's mind always traveled through time and dimension since the hatch exploded. He saw the future, he traveled to the past, he saw differents dimensions....last time, when Widmore did that thing to him, he ended up seeing the sideway universe. He thought it was an alternate timeline, but he was wrong, it was the afterlife he saw.

There have been a few things that I've had issues with, some have been addressed earlier in the thread (but I feel like adding to that discussion), some not..

So, when people are saying Michael wasn't there at the end because he couldn't let go, is it just the people who appeared to Hurley on the island who couldn't let go? I believe back on the mainland, Hurley had talked to Charlie (can't remember if he did back on the island), so does that mean he couldn't let go too? I'm hesitant to throw it up to casting since Michael did appear during the season, just odd that he wasn't included in the sideways world at all, even if he was left behind..

I know some people have tried to defend it, but Sayid with Shannon annoys the crap out of me. I don't care that him and Nadia had a tough (understatement I know) life, but she was his true love. Maybe if it was only people from the island in the church at the end, but Penny was there too, so why couldn't Nadia be with Sayid.

    Back on the mainland, I agree that the survivors are gonna have a ton of explaining to do, and honestly, not sure how they could pull that off.. Maybe with Whitmore gone, Penny can take over the family business and stage an elaborate cover up. And thinking about Jin and Sun's daughter still makes me sad.. poor kid ; ;

And last thing, the more I think about Lost, the more I want there to be more. I'm fine with the story of the island being over, but Lost had so much backstory, and no we'll never see the resolution of any of it
