I was more thinking the nuke combined with the pocket of energy destabilized and it sunk kinda gradually. DHARMA would either have lost interest or been unable to prevent it. I guess that still doesn't really explain getting Ben off the island.

Returning cast member but not sure if it should be put in tags so I'll do it anyway.

Where There's Smoke... a spinoff featuring our favourite smoke monster. =P
Reading this made me realize how tame the monster got since season 3. Why was he uprooting trees in the first place?
And why could he go on the beach anyway at first, since he obviously can now?
Certain trees form a boundary he can not break(not really canon but enough circumstantial evidence on the show + Lost: Via Domus), similar to the ash so he is likely finding a way to get around this means of defense like he did with Bram at the foot of the statue. And assuming he is Christian, he has always been able to manifest on the beach as a human, he just never had the need to do so for extended periods of time
Well, they did they say he couldnt change his body now that he is using locke, so I guess the limit don't apply anymore
A thought occurred to me just now in class, do we know why exactly Ben wants to go back to the island?
yo how did locke get off the island so ben could kill him i do not remember but i know that nig was not o6
He turned the donkey wheel to stop the island from spinning out of control through time about half way through season 5. That teleported him to Tunisia, where Charles Widmore kept a video camera on the emergence spot, so he had Locke picked up that night.
I think he considers it home, and didn't want to leave in the first place.Originally Posted by ZarakiKujata
But I mean what's his goal here, he could have had Locke turn the donkey wheel in the first place like smokey said in Cabin Fever and stayed in his home.
edit: I guess he chose to go off the island to avenge Alex on Widmore? I still think they need to extrapolate a bit more on what his motives are cause like Sawyer hes one to pull a long con..
March 2nd - Episode 6 - Sundown(Sayid) has been press released.
This needs tags because of the first sentence for it and some people in the guest stars are "oh wow".
