This, essentially. Even though I don't think it was at all necessary, if the Chargers hadn't taken Rivers (via Manning) they'd be an irrelevant team right now. That all happened a year before Brees would have inevitably gotten released anyway, so obviously they already had a decent QB like Campbell. I'd be scared if your team drafted Bradford in the first round this year too though, coming off 2 shoulder injuries in just 1 year.

It'd end up being Stafford part 2, injuries and all

and to put a cap on the talk about the Chargers-Jets game so it doesn't have to be debated anymore, here's an easy to follow explanation of how the Jets won lol

From his brief flashes of brilliance in the past few years, I can tell Campbell can be one hell of a QB if given the chance. Bad line, bad system, and a owner that's tried to get rid of you time and time again? I don't think even a Manning or Brees could survive that. Also, Skins' only have a I think 5 draft picks from horrible trades. I would have been happier of they got an offensive left tackle (if available) and a pair of defensive ends if their really going for the 3:4 defense.

the first one is, interestingly enough, the one he did "most rightly"

if he leaves his lane and tries to make the tackle, but Greene cuts back to where he's supposed to be and makes him miss, there's literally nobody left to make the play

unfortunately he ran right through the guy that's then left with the responsibility of making the play, and ended up with the same result lol

Agreed. I mean he's had more coaches and OC's under Snyder than most guys have in a 15 year career. I think with any stability, a decent running game and a not complete shit O-Line and Campbell could do some good things.

That is just another reason why MMA is better than boxing. The fact that Cromartie even has to be in all of these "dude, wtf" discussions about tackling a rookie RB is why they lost.

Def not any breaking news, particularly earlier SportsCenter watchers, but Nawlins will not show any movies on Sunday, and an Opera performance will be canceled. I'm glad these guys know how to get their priorities in order, good fans.

On average, how many minutes of actual action (from snap of the ball until whistle blows play dead) is in football? I guessed 24 minutes. Take a guess first then scroll over link.

If you think the networks are a little too fond of cheerleaders, you may be mistaken: In these broadcasts, only two networks showed cheerleaders at all. And when they did, they were only on camera for an average of three seconds. "We make it a point to get Dallas cheerleaders on, but otherwise, it's not really important," says Fred Gaudelli, NBC's Sunday Night Football producer. "If we're doing the Jets, I couldn't care less."

Lower play clock. All time outs 30 secs, TV time outs at the end of quarters only. 'Ready for play' starts right when the ball is put down, so I don't have to watch the chubby back judge stand over the ball for a good 10 secs just making sure everyone is ready.

    MORE ACTION

    @ Leroy's quote:

He shoulda said "don't tell them I said that," assuming he was quoted after the Bills' news conferences.
