GPS problem on Blackberry's flagship 9700

My service provider is being a dick, and has been re-directing me to Blackberry instead for technical support claiming it’s not a network problem.

Anyway, is anyone using Bold9700 and have been experiencing problems with GPS inside buildings? Maybe I am just nitpicking, but when I whip out my iPhone for Maps and shit, it instantly detects my location (even inside buildings).

GPS on my Bold9700 keeps saying “searching for satellites” then advises me to stand in an area where my device has a clear view of sky. I don’t mind having a poor GPS for BB as I can use my iPhone for that, but just wtf at RIM if their flagship model is crap (either that, or I have a faulty one)
When I move into the streets, then it works fine...

You misunderstood.

I want to know why my iPhone's GPS works inside building, whereas 9700 can't. Do they use different satellite?

The GPS Radio in combination with the software on the 9700 is not very good. I work for a wireless carrier and our certification team would not launch with GPS support for this reason.
