Both images of the New Klingons in this thread are from the deleted scenes from the first movie, but will carry over to the new film.

Thanks for this, I just wasn't seeing the helmet with the lighting of that first photo. Looked like the same color as their flesh.

It was his Uncle, I think, Arik Soong. His arc in Enterprise only discussed, IIRC, how Arik was a supporter of DNA manipulation but wasn't directly involved in the Eugenics Wars (1993-1996), as he wasn't born yet. He had been in trouble because DNA manipulation had been outlawed and he worked with the science anyway. Also, not all Klingons lacked ridges. The story that Enterprise (and bits from DS9) put out were that while millions were struck ridgeless, they were still allowed in places of respect, such as the Klingon Defense Force. The episode(s?) where Klingons are shown in TOS are supposed to be crews entirely afflicted with the Flu/Virus thing Ronin quoted. But like the bit about Rodenberry, all of it is kinda dumb, but it is a bit fun seeing a story woven around what was really just budgeting/foresight problems.

What doesn't help is Data's creator, Noonien Soong, has a similar name to Khan, whose middle and last names are Noonien Singh.

I wasn't sure how it worked out. I know that at the end of that particular story arc has the Brent Spiner character say something about cybernetics and he'll perfect it no matter how long it takes.

As a guy who has watched all the series at least once, I try to ignore any god damn thing that happened during Enterprise. DS9 had the only reference that was necessary to the changeover in Klingon appearance.

Geek favorites Bryan Fuller and Bryan Singer have been forthcoming about their hopes for bringing Star Trek back to the small screen, after the release of J.J. Abrams’ elusive sequel to his Trek movie reboot next summer. However, it turns out those two aren’t the only ones with big dreams about a new TV series set in that sci-fi universe – Michael Dorn is also taking steps to reprise his signature Trek role on a spinoff, tentatively titled Star Trek: Captain Worf.

Worf, Son of Mogh, of course, is the first Klingon main character on a Star Trek TV series. He appeared on The Next Generation throughout its seven-season run, then became a Deep Space Nine regular for its last four seasons. Dorn portrayed Worf in all four Next Generation films; in addition, he played Worf’s grandfather, Colonel Worf, in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

I always kinda liked Q's character. Probably because the Actor who played him did it quite well.

I admit, I'm definitely of "TNG" Generation, I loved TNG... And the first movie felt like an Action flick, But I liked it. I'm sure I'll like this second one, But i will say, I hope they just make Klingons like they were in TNG+, As was intended from the beginning.

Saw The Hobbit this afternoon, holy fuck @ the trailer for this.
I wish like hell the actors weren't busy so they could reboot it as a TV series using this crew, because it would easily be the best thing on TV.
