This spoiler-filled FAQ is pretty funny, written by someone who really didn't like the film. I didn't like the film all that much, but several of the things he brings up are some of the issues I had with it.

Couldn't read past the volcano because this person seems unwilling to suspend disbelief for a Sci-fi movie.
Found a good review for this movie:
wasn't feeling the movie, was dragging drama for 30 then rest action, more action, see good looking woman, more action and last but not least more action.
Not sure if it is safe to ask yet soSpoiler: show
i enjoyed a little bit of screaming and a new design. Other than that seemed kind of corny for me. Wasn't mad i paid if that helps any.

The points may have been more pedantic than any I'd bring up, but they were still valid. Especially about the transporter.

Cool flick. I liked the role reversal of the you know what scene. I thought it was a clever way to show their similarities through their differences.

Watched it this afternoon, absolutely loved it. Benedict Cumberbatch stole the show, not surprisingly. He was amazing as usual and the movie as a whole was a ton of fun to watch

This made me laugh cause its what I was thinking.
That's the same thing with most Star Trek stories. Oh, some emergency came up, how to we fix it? "Well, there's this experimental thing that the smartest people in the galaxy have been working on for years with no success. But, I could probably rig something up in the next hour..."

idk, while I've never put on a uniform, I've seen every episode of every series and every movie, and I enjoyed this movie. Yeah it had massive plot holes, pandered to the public rather than even the sci-fi community, much less trekkies, and had some pretty predictable parts, but it was still an enjoyable movie.
I went to see it again yesterday solely for Benedict Cumberbatch. Wish he had more screen time in the movie. I'm not a trekkie either so I really enjoyed the whole thing and had no idea about the end switcheroo until after the movie.
