Why would you post this (from Famitsu) in "Dengeki Games Interview" instead of "Collection of FFXIV News from Japanese Media Sources".

Moderator should probably actually do their job and move this discussion there instead of just chiming in, before more people make threads for this information whilst rightfully ignoring this thread thinking its old.

I don't know, it's kind of hard trying to mod forums from my cell phone, maybe you should untwist your panties, jeez. Also, people are probably not want to bump 4 months old threads when they can't even translate what's in the new article. It's hard being amazing all the time.

Kinda iffy about Pugilist being the class that gets Steal, kinda makes em seem more seedy than they gotta be. On the other hand, I can understand how the dexterity of a martial artist can translate into having a light touch. All in all, this is really encouraging. I can't wait for more info.

Am I the only one that still sees those screens of female elvaan as being oafish, clumsy-stanced women? SE has no idea how to animate elf women - they aren't lumbering housewives simply because they are tall, spry, and have long limbs.

Take a look at a F. Elvaan holding a staff or a spear sometime. Its a face-palming good time.

I don't know, the screen of the Elvaan Female Pugilist in the Purplist/Black armor looks REALLY nice. Sort of how I always imagined them. The archer picture for them don't do it as much for me though.

As long as they hit enemies with the correct side of the weapon in FF14, it's a huge improvement imo. Although I'm pretty set on Taru after the pictures today, if the Elvaan Female get any more awesome looking pictures, I may be tempted, who knows.

Eh, it's not as stiff as the FFXI stance and compared to the other stills there isn't too much of a difference to single out Elzen females as the girly fighters again. FFXI's Elvaan females were clumsy, but this is a new game and I'm willing to give them the benefit if the doubt.

Also I noticed that they've separated the mage into two separate classes. The second one looked more like a sort of divine mage than arcane.

Famitsu doesn't like Hotlinks and NoScript. Allow Famitsu.com on NoScript and copy the link, close the tab/page open new window and paste link in. Should work just fine.

So if you translate the Famitsu page with google toolbar, in the developer comments in the gladiator section you'll find this:

And after bothering to try and read the article, it seems the second mage class is an enfeebling-focused class called Sorcerer. I is sad I was hoping for a healer class!

I find it kind of funny how they dismantled THF and gave SA, TA, flee and steal to 3 different classes...
The rdm-drk crossbreed sounds fun too, I'll probably try that or the lancer if I ever get into the beta.
