Maybe if you have La Value/Oztroja/Beadeaux + 6 ? Not sure, I remember having 7 OPs including xarca and not being able to get special OP, but I don't remember if we had La Value or not...

Then wich is the point or motivation of getting them ????????at leas other beastmen strongholds gives u special ops... but nothing...?

And btw in alexander server believe it or not the best forces are the tarutaru from windurst :D

Part of the reason Strongholds are harder to take now is because of the inclusion of the Northland zones. They didn't add in any new allied forces or non-kindred forces when they added the Northlands, and so the frequency of battles and units on defense in the Strongholds decreased. On Phoenix there was at least one strong effort of "JPs campaigning" for the last 8 hours in La Vaule, and it wasn't enough. It just means that the effort has to start earlier, and take every opportunity given for influence, such as killing defending units even when a battle isn't underway.

Supposedly, according to wiki, you only need control the beastman stronghold to gain access to the "special" ops.

So clearly as nice as campaign can be, it clearly needs some major adjustments. Let's hope someone brings it up @ fanfest.

I've seen a lot of roundels leave Alexander... not that we've owned the zone recently but for a while one JP shell seemed to be co-ordinating efforts to take the strongholds. I'm so glad I got mine before the prices more than doubled.

Kujata hasn't had any of the special ops since the summer.

Over the summer we had Windy for 2 weeks and Sandy for 1 week. Everyone was trying to spam them, shout groups in WG etc.

Windy seem to hold most of their zones (normally only 1 in beastmen hands) the rest seem to have 1-3 zones in beastmen control (all excluding beastmen strongholds).

But to seriously answer your question, we can't control all the main cities, let alone a beastman stronghold, and people are always yelling at each other. It's pretty cool.
Pull another mod and stack hate on him. Then leave. I'm sure he'll appreciate you finding him more mobs to solo.

I make sure to at least give elegy/slow/etc on the mob or haste on the guy if I'm using a multihit like that to not mkp the soloer when possible. I've died before thanks to tpspam when i've built up too much enmity to lose hate when a mob suddenly getting 10x+ more tp than it was getting a few seconds before.

Bastok is doing decent since their NPCs do fine against Quadavs without too much help from players.
Windurst used to have some freelancers but lost all (to Sandoria) when the people that cared quit or left the server. Also those squishy Windurst NPCs stand no chance against Yagudos and we have City battles in Windurst every 2nd or 3rd week.

    Largest impact on campaign was
    a) All good rewards (Splitting Heirs/AN items) put to Sandoria made a lot of players change there, never looking back
    b) Fortification nerf killed the incentive of taking lost zones back, which hit nations with less people that lose zones regulary even harder
    c) Bahamut Server still being closed, lots of players leaving/quitting, server bleeding out, especially in EU/US timezone. So even if Jp players in less populated campaigns try to take over a zone, all their efforts go down the drain when noone takes over outside their timezone.
    QFT!
Poor windy, always being attacked in its own city. It makes things easier at times but I miss the areas like Fort and Mer and Sau. I don't know what it is with Windy campaign on our server. I have a feeling the only few Windy ppl come in, get their Cobra gear and switch nations to Sandy or Bastok. I personally enjoy Windy areas, for some reason, I notice bigger waves in Windy Campaigns... and I can do more damage against the Yags.

I don't think I've ever seen the beastman strongholds taken on Garuda.

The cities do OK and typically hold 3-5 areas most weeks. Bastok was lost a few times when WotG came out, but not since, and Windy was lost a couple of weeks ago. NPCs seem to get well distributed, although the only places I've seen Titania and her retinue are under San d'Orian control.

Certain areas are more popular with players. Crawler's Nest and Pashhow are not popular and are usually beastman. Vunkerl is awkward and cramped and it is difficult to heal properly without catching some beastman AoE. Grauberg is popular and brings people in from all three cities.

That's about how it is on Garuda. No group regularly loses their city, but we haven't taken over La Vaule for well over a year. We've had Splitting Heirs available either once or twice since its introduction into the game.

    said elsewhere, but:

    Windy: 4
    Bastok: 5
    San d'Oria: 6

Windurst campaign is a joke at the moment. I think they've lost everything except their city twice in six months now. What's really embarrassing is their complete inability to control West Sarutabaruta.

I'm jumping ship to San d'Oria since that's where all the players and freelances are.

Saruta gets lost when people don't campaign there; the npcs cannot beat the brd NM by themselves since they don't dispel its buffs. Its minuet turns sweeps from doing ~200 dmg to 1200-1500, minne drops damage taken from a 2h weapon to single digits, mambo gives it about 90% evasion, march gives hundred fists speed, and paeon gives it insane regen. With dispel, he's the easiest of the NMs.

Many of the beastmen NMs are easy if you know how to handle them.
Kaiser Behemoth can be solod by just nuking and running out of reach, since his hate returns to the fortification after a few seconds.
All NMs with pets are easy as long as you let pets attack the fortification and fight the NM not too far away.
And as you said, dispels, barspells, proper buffs are very effective against campaign mobs.
All that doesen't help though, when you have your resident noobs pulling NMs far away from the fort, making all their pets follow. Never silencing or debuffing any of the mobs. Killing infinite respawning belfrey mobs instead of the belfrey itself. Aggroing the main NM and a huge train of mobs, only to die in the middle of players that managed to safely pull single mobs away. Hell...it took Bahamut almost 2 years to realize that you actually have to heal the NPCs to win a Besieged.
Can't really blame people acting like tards in events that are so insignificant that noone really gives a shit though.

On Lakshmi, Sandy always fairs the best. They are the only City yet to be invaded. Sandy recently took Beaucedine Glacier [s] under control but that didn't last long. I think Sandy has unlocked the BC 3? times now. But as mentioned before, the patch to the BC made it very difficult to find people compitent people willing to do the BC with you. Most LS Mates either had no tags from doing regular OPs, didn't have rank or were in another nation and unwilling to change ~.~.

When Bastok was first taken long ago, a lot of people changed nations because they couldn't OP when CB was under way and end game shells especially got annoyed if this happened during Worm/Ixion Camps. The people leaving the cities didn't help the cause either and it is rare Bastok ever does well and Windy has been getting progressively worse it seems. I want my Roundel and will never see one it seems unless I am willing to pay the incredibly large price tag from imported earrings (which isn't worth it).

I personally hate doing CB and OPs but I have to do it to keep my AN up for Worm/Ixion camps and retrace scrolls and to keep my rank >< I also hate you can no longer skill up on CB mobs without tags >.> Used to do that all the time Find a mob being tanked by a group of people doing CB and hit on it for skill lol.

    Couple of questions

Is it really possible to lose cities (for example bastok markets s)? ( i mean no one doing cb there..... could it be really possible?

2.-If windy at the moment has 6 areas why the yag send reinforcments to .. beaucedine glacier (s) I mean... the taru only go to northlands when they have almost every area but why would the yags go there when they have almost all their areas lost =/

Campaign is SE's version of Warhammer.

Fantastic system built around having hundreds of people around all the time...

That's set in a situation with dozens.

Yes, it is possible to lose home cities. Back when campaign difficulty was being adjusted back and forth, there was a period where it was happening fairly often on some servers. The Campaign NPC's position changes just like in other beastmen-held zones, but I didn't notice any other major differences.

We had some massive battles in Bastok Markets[S] on Garuda in those days. Even at lvl 40 the fights were long enough to get well over 1,000 XP. Also saw some really impressive leadership because the first wave would tear a massive hole in the players, but some people rallied us and we usually got the best of the later waves.

Well, like clock work, Windy lost all forts and we're back to our Nation Defense mode.

I'm curious if Windy is broken. Every time I head to Bastok areas, its flurishing with NPCs, but in Windy areas, its always dead. I guess no one cares for Windy in general.

Once I get all my cobra gear I want, I'll switch out for sure. I really like the Defensive bonus you get in the Ops
