@ kuya nope, try again though. Great that you make assumptions about me. At least others that are arguing at least do it without attacking for no reason outside you don't like my opinion on the matter.
I quoted what I found to be relevant to my beliefs, not to post "facts" as you want it to be.
Keep trying.
I'm pretty sure the main issue here is that women are becoming more like men and then claiming to be a man is to be a woman. It is witchcraft at it's finest folks. First women want to wear pants, leave the kitchen, commit crimes, then get jobs, and now they are claiming we are becoming like them so we can start acting womanly and be the inferior.
NO SIR IT WILL NOT HAPPEN.
NOT ON MY WATCH
Ksandra sounds like she has self-esteem issues. Feminism is great because the end goal is all women's equality; so that you can be a whale who breeds at home, while women who aren't messes of life can pursue a lifestyle which they would otherwise be unable. Also, something something about how minority women still are far from having equal rights, if I had to guess I'd say you're fairly light-skinned based on your ignorant outlook and rose colored glasses about how everything is perfectly equal already.
Congratulations. But I wasn't assuming that you were a dropout either, just inferring that you're profoundly unambitious. If that still doesn't apply to you then take it as support for the villification of the housewife stereotype since it is distasteful and regressive to define any adult life by how well one can breed.
I also find it distasteful that a woman should feel "regressed" if they chose something else. Again my issue is the choice is deemed bad, and women shouldn't feel bad (imo) for doing so. I equate it as just another type of "job" even if it doesn't create income. It would be like saying a women is bad for wanting to be a horse trainer rather than a doctor. If it's what they love, why is it so bad? Why is it so demeaning?
Btw, I do love being a teacher and I enjoy it greatly, so yes I have ambition, and will probably work for years before having kids (then I will take a look at our finances to see how long I can stay at home), and probably go back to work when our kids are old enough to be in school if not sooner. It's the funniest thing in the world for me to do, and I'll be very lucky to do it (teaching that is).
I wouldn't consider doing that being a "breeding whale" Hell, as it is I probably won't have more than two kids (hopefully as twins run in both sides of our family).
Substitute horse trainer to something less poncy and romantic like being a janitor or a fast food restaurant manager, then I'd agree. It is alot like that, except what makes you have to pursue careers in custodial work or the fast food industry is usually the fact that you're a stupid fuck without the aptitude for a more meaningful vocation. Daycare workers get paid near minimum wage because you can reasonably expect a semi-literate pleb who's good with children to do that job well.
Raising children and doing housework is not and never has been something to which respectability and worth as a human being has been accorded. The fact that women are traditionally given these tasks is the reason that they're traditionally regarded as sub-human. Feminists are aware of that, and push for women to lead dynamic and intellectual lives instead; to study the arts and sciences, to occupy positions of executive power, to participate in and contribute to the more ennobling human disciplines and help define them in turn, instead of focusing on mind-numbingly mundane bullshit like watching kids and cleaning floors, because that is regressive when compared to being a goddamn doctor.
I'm amazed at the number of bigots in this thread who like to play at being open minded and progressive.
