I'm usually not that hard to find/get blood from but ugh I was miserable the entire time. I wasn't on steroids when they first admitted me so at least I wasnt in additional pain from that but goddamn I had 1 RN teaching a student nurse how to place the IV line for fluids and I was never really sure who was teaching who because both were awful at placing the IVs and poked me a good 5 times before finally finding the vein so I can definitely appreciate your pain.
Worst of all was getting a picc line on my last day from a nurse who was quite rough and seemed to be more preoccupied with asking me if I had advice to offer her son who had just gotten accepted into the school I go to as to whether he should attend.
The thing is I don't see how people miss, I'm not trying to toot my own horn but I can't remember the last time I missed. Half the time people look away because they think it's going to hurt (I have no idea why, the needle is so fucking little...) and are surprised how it seriously feels like a little prick.
I drew 6 samples from a guy earlier today, which takes like 15 seconds if you know what you're doing and he was surprised that I didn't have to go hunting for veins. I really feel sorry for people who get constantly stuck by nurses cause that shit starts to hurt after a while.
It's sad that as small as I am I've seen more grown men scared of me than kids when I tell them I need to draw blood.

I had a pretty bad experience with some kind of a technician on my throat, she had to give me iodine and she missed my vein completely, and it filled my fucking arm and bloated it.

I had that shit happen to me too, it was right before going to bed and if I hadnt caught it myself and ended up sleeping shit would've bloated instead of just making my elbow hurt like a motherfucker for ~1 week
Man, I'm staring at my arm like a hawk whenever someone's about to jam a needle into it. When I was like 10, I had a wart on the side of my foot at about the base of the big toe. When the doc froze it with liquid nitrogen and whipped out the scalpel, I also didn't wanna turn away. Still rockin' that scar.
I don't understand why and everytime something is posted about anything, why do you people have to argue about it. You know wars are probably started like this, why don't people just see other's views/opinions and shut the fuck up after that? Argue argue, fuck man life is too short
And bumping a couple of days old ago complaining about arguing isn't ironic HOW!?
