is anyone Linkshell bank got banned for RMT?

lol at the speculations above, but anyways to clear few things out. the account is not attached to anyone and its the linkshell holder just in case a leader quit i.g me who quit for aion , someone else lead. and the whole account is made up of mules. there are few people that access the account to distribute wealth along all these years. what bugs me there was no problem in this account for 6-7 years? and as soon as we implemented a monthly reward system it gets banned few months later.

I did contact POL myself and will attach a script of the conversation after i talk to them again tonight for giggles i guess.

Well, I know someone who won the mog bonanza and kept it on a mule, then very soon after he won, his mule got banned for RMT activity because of "unusual amounts of gil" being frequently traded.

Weather or not this LS Bank mule got flagged for the same stupidity or if the LS got jacked, will probably only be known by the OP.

Gotta love the inconsistency with se. For a while i used to trade an average of 10-20m (sometimes as much as 30-50m, but that was rare) per day from my mule to main, every single day for like 2 months, and never had an issue with it.

It would actually be a brilliant idea to RMT the bank and then report it as RMT. It genuinely was a case of RMT, so you know the account will never be unbanned, and you can always blame SE's poor customer service and general unwillingness to actually do work for your LS never recovering the bank.

If you think about it, SE's heavy-handed RMT policies really protect the RMT-er in this case.

didnt our bank get fucked with too? at one point we had almost 300m (i think more?) after selling off some AV things lol, and i remember hearing how the GM was messing with Ald lol. poor guy. i cant imagine what they're like now since they're cracking down good on that stuff wayyy harder compared to what it was before with us. but if we were getting harassed back than and warned upon, i hate to think how the other 100m+ LS bank ppl are holding it down even now. maybe they keep it in fractions <_>

Ald transferred 100mil of his gil to another server to buy currency and the mule got banned for suspected RMT actions. SE had him fill out some forms, but he never recovered it I think.

Seeing as Ald has been stealing from the Tripredacus bank for ages, I really doubt there were really GMs messing with him if he ran the SA one too.

A lot less effort to save over X time frame, then payout based over attendance for said time frame, than have to go back, split every event, be sure to hold enough onhand for dyna+ein, etc.

Then again, that's assuming you have a decent income....if you don't, then maybe it's easy to split it as you get it.

True, but there's little reason to have hundreds of millions of gil in your bank. 10-20 mil should be plenty to keep in the bank for most linkshells, maybe 50m for an ls that regularly buys currency for relics.

Thorny isn't the only one who thinks he did. I do and so did a few other people. The guy never did anything to make gil, refused to even discuss a public bank tally, and despite constantly doing br2 and selling attestations/fragments for 5-10 mil, the bank rarely seemed to have enough to cover a salvage body or two. He was able to buy endless amounts of alexandrite and a speed belt, and he still did nothing to make gil. He was either stealing from the bank or buying gil, unless the guy was still sitting on a couple hundred mil from inflation days.

I feel bad, because we never had that problem in SA. there was a thread we had which was updated almost daily on how much we had on the bank/items.

not that i ever cared about stuff like that, but i was one of those people who just left it up to the sacs w/o paying much attention to that stuff lol

Some shells make 100mil in less than a week...doing payouts every 4 days is a lot of work. Furthermore you have to sell things which may take a few days, so it's not uncommon to be sitting on 40mil worth of items.

I agree with not saving too much, but I think doing 1 payout a week is pretty reasonable, and it is definitely both within the realm of possibility and entirely likely for shells to break 100mil in that time frame.

Get lucky with a few Ridill, Haut, E-body, A-body abj etc. buyers, a couple Sandworm claims, dynamis coins... yeah, 100mil in a week is certainly possible for some shells. Not something you could count on, but wouldn't take too much for it to happen.

edit - or hell, just be one of those shells still holding onto AV drops!

When we are on Pay out bank we usually only hold up to about 150m before we split all of it. The 150m we can make within 2 weeks with good luck on drops. When doing relics we usually will give 10m, whenever we have 10m, to the person whose relic we are working on leaving almost nothing on the bank besides money for dynamis/ein. So we normally always have gil moving in and out of the bank mule. Currently i think we have like 40m of stuff to sell in bazaar and another 60m on hand.

The whole idea of banning a ls bank mule for suspected RMT activities is ridiculous because SE has to know by now that these mules exist and yet their shitty old-ass game design does not support any form of bank system. Perhaps if they added a linkshell bank area where certain people granted access could deposit and withdraw items and a viewable record off all such transactions was kept, these investigations could be avoided. Old game, old code, fail support for the players leads to this kind of crap.

Donnie, when I ran OD's bank I had a rule that I would not dbox gil, only trade. I'm not sure if it was just paranoia but I didn't like the idea of dboxing 1 million gil over and over, I thought it may raise a flag. We obviously didn't have anywhere near the gil you guys do passing through the mules but we never had any problems.

SE has implemented automated systems to "detect" rmt activities. Large amounts of gil traded back and forth I suspect are flags. I've had harvesting mules suspected of being rmt before and many others have as well.

Odin being a closed server, items take time to sell if sell at all so LS banks on Odin are quite large.
