Every publication I've read on that dismisses the notion of hair "growing back stronger", although I don't think there is enough evidence to be conclusive on the subject (who actually studies this...?) Going on your own experience is pretty silly considering you don't have a valid source of reference as your body changes with age and the difference can very easily be attributed to that.

Good to know then. Apparently 28 year old girls who get paid to wax vaginas are not reliable sources of information. I still think I'm hairier than I should be for my age, but maybe I'm just horribly unlucky, who knows.

Physically pulling the hair out of the follicle is a common and fairly inexpensive method of hair removal. None of these methods changes the color, texture, or density of the hair. The hair takes longer to grow back because it must grow to the surface of the skin before it is noticed. Because hair grows at different rates, some of the hair that has been physically removed may take more time to grow back in. Repeatedly pulling hair out of the follicle may damage the follicle enough over time to keep it from producing more hair.

That sounds like a good basis for the stir about waxing making your hair grow back thinner / more slowly.

I shave all the time, yet there is still a patch of skin on the bottom of my chin that simply doesn't ever grow hair. My facial hair is still very thin and never grows beyond like 1/4 of an inch maybe.
