01/26 POL Update Breaks Spellcast + Recast

Anybody have a link to the standalone recast program that everybody was using last time the plugin broke?

If you need a temporary replacement for Recast, Krellion's program still works (it'll just be an external program instead of a plugin):

I still use autoexec to equip resting gear and idle gear coz I'm too stupid to understand how autosets work.

Edited the OP with links to the working versions, but it looks like I'm not allowed to change the title. A mod could do it if they want to, but I'm sure anyone looking in the thread can figure it out anyway.

The real question is: How many more people are going to post that their Spellcast 2.3 and Recast 1.73 isn't working? Cause I think we pretty much covered that within the first half of the first page.

Both files are hosted on Whitewing's site. He's an App Developer on windower who can post stuff directly into the Approved Programs forum.

If you'd rather go without SpellCast and Recast until there's something official from Aikar though, go for it.

I just tried to log on my 2nd acct. and had to download the update. Now when I try to get on the game via windower or POL i get a window that pops up and says: 'Failed to replace the file "C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\PlayOnlineViewer\pol.e xe." Please restart the PlayOnline Viwer.' but I can't restart. Wat do I do?

When I had that problem a few months ago, pol.exe was still in the processes list. End it and try again. If that doesn't work, reboot.

why is the .dll from the link above 1400kb vs. the 230ish of the old recast.dll?

I'm actually starting to get a weird pop up when pol loads that is saying windows is going to configure pol and tetramaster, tries to install something but fails because it can't find the installation package. Anyone having this problem?

This happened to me when I deleted the POL music files, I couldn't run POL until I put the disc in and let it reinstall them. I never did figure out how to keep the volume at 0 when I log in a second account, so I just keep the speakers off until I'm actually in the game now. Maybe your issue is similar.
