Does Apple accept iPods towards purchase of a new iPod?

Basically, I got an iPod touch almost a year ago, and went with the 16GB.

I totally underestimated how much space I needed, and I'm at about 15.5GB with several CDs still needing to be added.

I'd like to get the 32 GB, but can't see dropping $300 on it for the HD upgrade.

I haven't looked into ebay yet, but I usually consider it a last resort, because I hate shipping things out and don't want to have to worry about personal data being compromised (iTunes/Credit Card... etc...)

I know they accept "old" models for 10% off a new one, but I don't think a perfectly good 16 GB iTouch should be wasted for $29.90 credit - if that's indeed all I'd get.

ETA: If I *DO* sell it on Ebay, is it worth it to list songs already on it, or will Ebay banhammer for that?

one of my old roommates used to work at the apple store in atlanta and he would always bitch about people trying to do what you're trying to do, so I'd assume no, if you don't have an answer by morning I'll text and ask him. as far as ebaying it, you're going to want to do a restore and wipe it clean beforehand

32gb normally runs for around 300..if you're gonna get another touch then i'd suggest you go check it out. i think hes got 32gb for sale as well

I used to work for Apple, best you'll get is 10% off the price of the new one. Better to sell it on ebay or cl. The 10% is just a recycle program for much older iPods that shit the bed.
