I have a question. It is almost completely unrelated. And a bit crazy.

As I was coming into my 20s as a confirmed nerd girl (and this was well before being a nerd was even remotely cool) I discovered that amongst my nerd friends that the girls had all lost their virginities by the time they were 18 (I was the odd one out at 19) and had slept with multiple partners. The nerd guys, however, were either still virgins or only had 1-2 partners (nerd guys seem more open to admitting this kind of thing than jocks). This remained the case until my mid and late 20s. I had later confirmation from a woman I played FF11 with and she had noted the exact same thing.

So how on earth can most of the girls have many partners while most of the guys have only had a few (without the girls being lesbians)?

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

*figures pulled directly out of my ass; I know that sizes are different between the two countries, and America is lower.

edit: http://www.fashion-411.com/Size_Conversions.htm according to this site, she'd be roughly a 10 according to our sizes. That's a bit better. And not too shabby, considering the tig ol' bitties.
    quoting for emphasis.

Fun fact, patterns have never downsized, so if you ever want to know your "real" size go to a jo-anns and fit yourself for a pattern.

When I was a size 10 at stores I was a size 16 in patterns.

Simple, its harder to find female partners for nerd guys. You've got to be assertive, etc. No girl's going to approach the nerd guy when he literally doesn't do...anything.

For women, that's not the case, Just hang out around and you'll probably get a couple of guys hittin' on ya.

Asshole guys have screw-counts in the dozens. Nerds, even the cute ones, typically are 1-2.

People forget though: only having 1-2 partners doesn't mean you aren't a boss at plowing beanfields. If someone bothered to start comparing number of times under the sheets instead of how many different vags a guy has bagged, the nerds may very well outpace the assholes and sweater-vest-wearing, open-collared brofriends.

Compare a guy nailing his girl or friend with benefits 8-10 times a week compared to a frat boy that has to spend/waste all that time hitting the bar or party in search of a new girl, nailing her once, and moving on to the next.

Nerds, in general, tend to have more problems making connections to people. So for a nerdy guy who is a little awkward socially is going to have a hard time making a move or psyching himself up to make a move on someone. Girls don't really have to take initiative to get laid. Nothing stopping them, but it sort of comes to them.

Every time I tell someone I've only had sex with one woman in my entire life, they usually react "Wow, you've only had sex once before!?". I don't understand the logic that brings them from what I said to what they concluded.

Odd. From the viewpoint of a nerd girl I always saw it as the guys having the power of choice and the power to take action on those choices. Girls just gotta wait around until they are chosen.

I hate when girls say this. Girls can approach guys too, they just choose not to. No, we don't automatically think you're a slut or desperate or anything just because you approached us. We think you're the most awesomest personest mount everest.

You have just as much power of choice as we do (if not more), you just choose not to exercise that power.

To somewhat hearken back to the Men becoming Women thread, women kinda hold the power in our society when it comes to sex (and there's always the rape card and its consequences if they felt they'd lost it). So, it's not really surprising if virgin males outnumber virgin females. I just wish I knew more moderately attractive nerd girls to play up on that whole closet slut angle. Much as I dig big boobs, my real rule is if I can't find the face attractive, I can't handle the rest. In before lights out/paper bag.

I wonder if she'd accept barter, such as a guy trading her his virginity for it. Seems like an even deal to me.

I wonder if this is a common type of thinking for girls. I always saw it the other way around also, nerdy guys being too afraid to take the initiative but girls didn't need to.

Anytime I've tried to approach guys has ended in disaster pretty much. It seems like guys have this comfort zone and they approach girls when they are good and ready, but if you approach a guy it completely throws them out of their comfort zone and it ends up horribly, at least in all my experiences of trying it.

It's a shame because guys always talk about wanting girls to be confident and how they wish girls would come to them sometime. And I'd not the best looking person in the world (actually I think I look pretty bad face wise), but I'd like to think im a pretty confident person nonetheless. The problem is when you try and be confident and approach a guy, and it doesn't end well, it kinda makes you wonder if it's even worth the effort, and you go back to letting them approach you.

Plus for some reason it seems like guys think girls are a slut or a whore or desperate if they approach you, at least that's the vibe I get from them.

I could see being thrown a bit by being approached, especially if the girl's attractive I generally assume she's trying to fish a free drink out of me, or just up to some evil shit in general(historically speaking, I only get approached by attractive girls when I'm in a committed relationship, it's like they can smell it on me. If I'm single and actually looking for a girl they wouldn't give me the time of day).

As far as wanting a girl to be 'confident', that's more a case of I don't want to have to reaffirm to her every 5 fucking seconds with compliments that she's pretty/funny/smart/whatever, I want her to be aware of herself as an individual and have some identity outside of being 'my girl'.
