    Could be this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varicocele

No joke, go see a doctor. You got 2 possible things that can leave you with no babies the longer you wait, go check it out.

Aside from pain, it's not, actually.

A lot of times men will mistakenly confuse it with testicular cancer

Can make you infertile, but if you don't want kids and aren't in pain I don't see how that's a bad thing either

It's one of those things where the doctor won't really do anything about it unless it becomes necessary or you want to have it done.

It might not be directly classified as a hernia, as it wasn't the scenario where your balls actually go up into your body (which would be the direct classification, protrusion of an organ or tissue through the cavity) but just a severe strain in the tissue

I did go to the doctor, he said there's nothing you can do aside from let it heal and obviously, don't jack off.
Hmm I suggest looking up what a hernia is. I don't think there is a non-serious hernia and I don't think there is a type of hernia that doesn't require some sort of surgery to correct. A hernia is not your balls going up into your body.

You'll need to upload a photo of your plastic origami balls for me to be able to provide an accurate diagnosis.

Yeah, varicocele isn't really a major thing unless you're wanting kids, which I don't believe it always causes infertility either. I haven't done anything about mine for 8 years now. Doctors originally diagnosed it as a mass/cyst, which of course I had to go back for a lot more workups since the words cancer and nuclear operator don't exactly fit well together, especially when every male in your family has either died from cancer or HBP. It was intensely painful at times when it was forming, but either I got used to it or the pain stopped. Other than some minor discomfort every now and then it doesn't give me any issues that I care to fix.

That being said, from your description and what I know of it, the two don't sound like the same issue, but only a doctor could really tell you for sure.

    Oh, and lol BG Medical.

Mine never had any pain or anything (it just felt/looked funny), but when my doctor checked it out and told me what it was, he never mentioned anything about infertility. The way he spoke about it was that it was a purely aesthetic concern, and that it didn't really affect anything beyond minor discomfort. I had no idea infertility was associated with this... now I'm a little concerned.

Well wiki just said that it was the cause for 90% of infertility, but if it's that common (which considering 2 ppl here say they have it, I would say it probably is) then it may be an uncommon/rare side effect. But that's lolwiki

From what the doctors have told me, varicoceles are one of the leading causes of men who are unable to father a second child. I have no statistics to back that up, nothing other than word of mouth really, but they definitely can cause infertility, seeing as sperm production is a pretty regulated process and by having your blood not drain properly you pretty much eliminate any control mechanisms nature gave you.

And yeah, I would take wiki with a grain of salt as well.

Or you could look at the source like you should do if you want to verify wiki information and see that the infertility bit comes from http://humrep.oxfordjournals.org/cgi...full/20/9/2614

That report is from 2 years after I was diagnosed with this, which would explain a few things from my viewpoint. However, it really doesn't reveal anything new about infertility to me, I've always known varicoceles could cause infertility due to the blood drainage issues and I'm perfectly ok with it (without having read the article before, the information presented over the hydraulic failure and its resultants were something I already took for granted from when the varicoceles were first described to me by the doctors, it just makes common sense that something flowing in what is essentially the wrong way against a higher pressure source would have a high chance of failure) so seeing as their aren't any (known) adverse side effects with the exception of occasional discomfiture nowadays I haven't seen the need to correct it.

The sample volume was decent in their study, but since there are still differences in the data presented, even in the article itself, I still wouldn't try to put a percentage on it. If you have been diagnosed with one and weren't informed of the potential for infertility, then you should probably go have another talk with your doctors, because regardless of the numbers anyone puts forth, it definitely can cause it.

Cool story bro: I was dumb enough to do this for $10 in middle school. It feels like your ballsack is being cut open and set on fire, and salt is being poured onto your exposed testicles. The peak of the pain lasted like an hour, took maybe three hours for it to completely go away.

Vegetto: Sounds like you have a hernia dawg. Go to a doctor.
