Sort of unrelated but... I never really understood all the jokes about France being quick to surrender... can someone explain? Cause everything I've read in history shows them as being extremely militant and aggressive, for like 400+ years. >_>;
That must be the last of the Ares rockets![]()
They were overrun in like 2 weeks and England had to run the Germans out for them.
Don't get me wrong, France kicked a lot of ass back in the day, I'm just stating that WWII is when the idea of France being quick to surrender or cowardly started to come about.
We are ready for them

They were in a state of war for like 1 year. But yeah when the Germans actually attacked they got smashed quickly. I just don't think being utterly defeated militarily and surrendering is the same as what everyone keeps joking about, especially considering that France declared war on Germany long before America and many other countries did.
I get you though. But I think it's more to do with their culture making them look like a bunch of sissies, rather then any actual real history. :S
It was over Newfoundland. Saying it happened in Canada is a gross generalization and frankly somewhat of an insulting association to Newfoundlanders.
"We confirmed that it was something" makes me wonder about people nowadays, no shit it was 'something'
