2. The story left out quite a few details.
3. No one is talking about insurance and whose fault it was. If it was the fault of the driver, the story would have reported on how some idiot savage driver ran this poor woman over.

The story takes a completely neutral stance. The woman (we won't say how drunk she was) was killed by a car (we won't say who was at fault). This article is more of a press release than a full story, but that changes nothing. If you want to throw a pity party for her, then so be it, but I will not. I can think of 30,000 other places I'd be if I won the lottery, and boozing it up at a bar constitutes none of them.

As for the overall winnings from Cash Explosion, if I'm not mistaken, it's a scratch off game where those who wind up on the show either won a certain amount on their ticket or got a special "get on the show" thing with it. The money you win from it isn't anything particularly earth shattering, as the game itself is more or less getting randomly selected cash amounts added to your score while hoping to beat the other people to get into the final round. It's been ages since I watched the show, but I doubt she won more than 50k total. Really, the show's more of a time slot filler for NBC here on Saturdays since it's pretty low budget.
