Sorry, it seems my EU and NA reg files are on my old computer, so I don't have them on this one :/

But if I remember right, you go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/PlayOnlineUS

then click on it and do "Change Name" on the entire map to PlayOnlineEU

If I remember right, the EU, JP and NA registry keys are identical, with the the file named 0001 in the map showing the pathway that leads to to the program itself, and the only difference is the ending of the map (JP, EU or NA). And as such, replacing PlayOnlineUS with EU makes it run the European version instead.

Although I'm not entirely sure if something's changed after they translated the entire game to French and German, as this was before they added those languages.

I'm leveling BLM for finally having an endgame mage job after far too long of putting it off to play fun jobs. (Although I'll give you BLM is actually growing on me as I level it) I'm looking to put together a decent endgame set for BLM starting from nothing, I know a lot of new pieces are out like those vicious mufflers, which are not yet included in any guide to gearing BLM I have seen, and a few other pieces I'm not sure of at all for usefulness. I'm basically looking to put together an endgame set for BLM before I hit 75, I'm not looking for responses like "full morgy blm or gtfo!" I'd like to put together a decent (not godly) BLM without taking 5 years to gear it up. Could you point me to a guide for doing so that is more updated than failwiki or KI?

for really cheap, easy to get stuff, something like:

nq staffs
bug strap +1
phantom tath
af hat
ele torque
moldy+phant earrings
nq weskit
vic mufflers, errant hands if you can't swing that, yigit are ok too but take a while, goliard (for endgame you will also need to use your af hands a lot, especially unmerited)
tamas if you can, or snow (or diamond) rings. diamond rings actually last a while since snow are pretty expensive for +1 int
rainbow cape
pen rope
errant legs
umm...the campaign feet or the blm af2 feet from dyna i guess. rostrums, yigit as an end goal, some of the rse2...nothing gamebreaking to wear here

should get you started, then whitebox and upgrade as able. hq ice thunder dark staffs asap.

for enfeebling, igqira head and legs, af body, enf torque is enough to get you started (and staff of course)

for drain/aspir/stun, af legs dark torque staffs and some random haste and magic acc stuff

I'm a little unsure what you're asking for the spells, as that's not something that's necessarily standard. For example, I don't generally set Healing Breeze or Diamondhide.

Assuming that you are elvaan:

TP- Improvements include (and some of these may be very expensive or hard to get, but I'm listing them for completeness)

-Cuchulain's or Mirage mantle for TP if you need the accuracy.
-Fortitude torque isn't bad if you don't need the full +10 from PCC. If you really don't need accuracy at all, and the +dmg taken isn't a concern, then Kubira beads can be considered for TP.
-Toreador's Ring
-Koggelmander. Concordia/Perdu is the next best thing after Perdu/Koggel
-Depending in region, Junior Muskateer's Chakram+2
-Morrigan's body is often best, since BLU does usually use an accuracy food.

WS- I personally use a MKE helm with +4 STR WS acc+15, acc+10, +5 attack. If you have that, you can often use Warwolf belt over Virtuoso and/or another STR ring over an accuracy ring

-Mirke body w/ +10 accuracy +10 attack or Enkidu harness, or Morrigan's robe (particularly better for savage blade/expiacion)


STR/DEX-

Feet- Setanta's Ledelsens are technically an improvement

Voyager's sallet is good, but you can also use the aforementioned MKE helm and drop accuracy elsewhere, such as one of the rings for a STR ring. Alternatively, a MKE helm with +4 STR/DEX is also an improvement.

-Minuet earring and/or Hollow Earring

-Adjust for accuracy as necessary, such as switching legs to Mirage Shalwar over Enkidu or Optical hat over MKE (if no +10 acc augment) or Voyager.

STR- If this is for Cannonball-

feet- Rutter Sabatons
Head- MKE w/ +4 str +2% critical damage > Gnad > Mirage
Ring- any +5 str ring would be better, but Flame does have some defense on it for cannonball
Earring- Triumph>Heims>Cassie>Minuet
Ammo- Depending on region, Bibiki Seashell or Junior Muskateer's Chakram +2

Depending on the defense on the target or ability to TP

Lyft Scimitar, Wing Sword+1 >Koggelmander>Wing Sword with Acheron Shield (+1)

If you don't already have denali boots I'd go the formor ones instead if you can since they give str, and dex. Enkidu subilgar is better than mirage for str based spells. Get a mineut ear it's cheap for str/dex, use it/suppa on spells, and keep flame ring str/dex based unless you need acc. Also if you can of course get a koggelmander. And if you can merit blue magic skill skip V. Sallet, and go for relic helm.

20/22 used total leaving 2 points to set w/e like dispel or sleep when needed. This will give you another strong DD spell, a Flash Spell, Conserve MP, and Fast Cast Traits.

So I'm assuming you want to be a moderately-gimp event-onry BLM who can sleep quasi-resistant things and nuke. Like, typical Dynamis, Einherjar, and HNM BLM.

Main: HQ Ice, Thunder, Dark, and Kirin's Pole.
Sub: Bugard Strap +1
Ammo: Phantom Tathlum
Head: Demon Helm +1 or AF Hat
Neck: Elemental Torque
Ear1: Moldavite Earring
Ear2: Loquacious if you already have it, otherwise Morion.
Body: Igqira Weskit, Black Cloak for Refresh
Hands: Zenith Mitts or Vicious Mufflers, whichever is easiest. AF for resistant monsters.
Rings: Snow Ring x2 (or Diamond ring x2 depending on the level of gimp you're comfortable with.)
Back: Rainbow Cape (at least Augment with something please. Anything but -MP or -INT)
Waist: Penitent's Rope
Legs: Errant Slops (Mahatma would be nice)
Feet: Yigit Crackows (nothing really compares, but if you already have Rostrums you could gimp by with those too).

For landing sleep, you'll want at least Igqira Tiara, AF body, and Igqira Lappas. If you already have Nashira Seraweels, you could use those instead of Lappas and not take a huge MAcc hit. Enfeebling Torque would be nice, and might be required if you don't have any enfeebling merits depending what you're trying to sleep.

Resting sets are fantastic, but assuming you're just going for the bare minimum/free:
As much Oracle's Gear as you can slap together, Heirarch belt, Antivenom Earring, Relaxing Earring (if you can), Errant Hpl.

Damage down:
Jelly Ring, Earth Staff, Cheviot Cape

Dark Magic skill:
Relic hands, Dark Torque, AF pants

You'll want Enfeebling x8 and Elemental x8 with 5 Ice and 5 Lightning Potency. Open Freeze II or Burst II for the rare situations where you should use an AMII, but don't cast it until you know what those situations are or someone calls for it.

If I saw you with all that, these days I'd think you were a decent player who just didn't care about BLM. Assuming you learn to use it all correctly, you'd be far above average for an HNMLS BLM.

Both diamondhide and healing breeze were something I was considering for dynamis or limbus. If they're not needed to support I'll see what other options I could pile on.

Forgot to specifically mention I was mithra. Some things that would probably have helped to add in:

MKD hat is already on a WS piece for WAR
ACP body is already fastcast/enmity for PLD
Planning on using ASA legs for WHM and BRD but it's really up in the air
Ethereal Earring for PLD
8/8 Sword merits from PLD

Mentioned in the commentary section but I'd have somewhere around 421 accuracy with Marinara Pizza in my TP build set, which should be 95% hit rate for most situations I'd be considering BLU. Would it be worth using pizza over sole sushi in that case? I have no idea how much the STR/DEX for magic would compare to the attack for melee/WS.

I'll see what I can get accomplished in MMM but are there any reasonable AH upgrades over beast slayer?

Diamondhide, and Magic Fruit would be useful there, but personally I don't see healing breeze as worth using ever unless you're doing /sch, or /whm,

And Fragrach is better AH sword, or really really good augmented Erlking's Blade.

Don't quote me on this, but it looks like a really good offhand weapon for WHM/NIN if you don't have/can't use Kclub. Relatively good DPS and a very low delay. I'd bet the price tag is preying on suckers who think it's worth using over HQ staves though.

Erlking's Blade with at least D+4 (5 is max) and some accuracy would be an upgrade that you could keep around for the rare time you fight Beast mobs.

Pizza v Sushi for BLU is really situational in my opinion. If you can load up on STR and Attack gear by using Sushi (notably Morri Robe over Mirage, Forager's over Cuchu/Mirage, and Fort Torque over PCC), then it's at least worth considering. It'll also free up some accuracy on your WS sets. Look into splitting up your WS sets as your gear improves since each Vorpal crits and Expiacion has an INT secondary modifier. Spells have an inherent accuracy bonus, so your hitrate will be higher than what you see on paper. I was told +20 at 75 and +30 total with 5/5 Physical Potency merits a long time back and use those numbers; it's worked well for me.

Also, your TP commentary: BLU can't use Blitz Ring ; ;

Edit: For Caiti I'd probably try to max PDT- first and worry about damage second, maybe IR Lance and some other PDT pieces like Darksteel+1/Jelly?

Never had BLU and yeah that WOULD work but this can be free EXP for my RDM since I hate EXPing (ib4 astralburn noob)

So if it's not possible, meh, but figure it's worth a shot if I can get a look at the gear DRGs wear when they solo.
