I'm fairly sure he meant accuracy. :'(
I'm fairly sure he meant accuracy. :'(
Either ATT or ACC works as an explanation. I was just wondering what is replacing Osode.
I was under the impression that outside of something like Nid's 2hr or Hurricane Wing, you should be capped accuracy on Gekko on HNMs, but I could be wrong, don't exactly have a sample size worth stating anything for sure, rarely even go to many "HNMs" on Sam.
I'll say that I'm 99% sure you cap WSacc on JoJ, but do not cap attack (unless he has native PDT?).
I believe there was one test in which someone estimated roughly 800-860ATT was needed to cap ATT on JoL.
Edit: Nvm, it was 950ATT http://bluegartr.com/forum/showpost....postcount=103; note that this may be off, so Masamune, Yarko, or Nameless might be the ones to consult regarding this (I believe they recently solved the pDIF dilemma?).
I still have mine, though someone brought this up either in another thread or another forum and I've been thinking about it ever since. I think the reasoning to sell was basically what you named. Vs Merit level mob or lower, you typically won't bother with YGK. Even Rana is better with an Amano and you wouldn't use Osode for that either. For higher level, you won't have Hagun's TP bonus to back up Gekko if you're using it, so I would drop 5 STR for the extra attack boost to help anyway.
I use mine on NIN for evasion tanking stupid shit like Cassie and Charybdis, but only because I sold scorp harness years ago and I barely bother with NIN anymore anyway. I miss evasion tanking lol.
Mnk, are you going to sit and chi-blast anything?
BRD has enough useful replacements. At the very least Yigit or something. Though the titty shirt is double the price of an osode iirc.
I would get rid of it only if you had a suitable replacement for BRD body that isn't double the cost lol. I only keep mine for nostalgia now, and that's expensive for no reason.
I recently got PLD to lvl 75 and was wondering what gear I should pick up for a "cure kit"? Ideally how much HP should I be recovering from idle HP? Does anyone have an example of a macro or spellcast for this?
Ok, so tonight I finally went to salvage as mnk, and sadly to say I had a hard time keeping hate. The thing is I can't figure out why I wasn't able to keep hate?
This is my TP gear:
Destroyers
Walahra Turban
Peacock Charm
Smart Grenade
Brutal Earring
Fenrir's Earring/Ethereal Earring
Shura Body
Melee Gloves
Rajas Ring
+5 Acc Ring
Amemet Mantle +1
Black Belt
Byakko's Haidate
Sarutobi Kyahan
STR 5/5, Critical Hit +4 merits, 5/5 Counter and Kick Attack Rate, 5/5 Penance, 4/5 Invigorate, 1/5 Formless Strikes, no enmity merits, and no h2h merits.
I ate pizza +1, we did AR, and I'm a Taru.
This is a little subject Ive been debating with friends for awhile. But what is so wrong with Settler's Cape for a TP build vs Foragers mantle?
+10Acc -10Attack (for those who dont know)
vs
+15 attack +3 str
My friends argue its like giving up 26 attack dropping from Foragers to Settlers, but people happily give up a 14~ or so Attack for Cuch Mantle. Though i would prefer Cuch Mantle, the 5mill vs 60k price tag (for more Acc as well) is what puts me off. Is -10 attack really that noticeable in the long run?
Has anyone attempt a low-men Ouryu Cometh (cloud evoker) BC? Preferably did it before and what setup? Looking at maybe 8-9 people?
won with 6(ideal setup) as well as 7 and a mehh setup
could be done with 5 probably
7man was more recent and in memory better;
RDM/NIN(mostly unmeritted taru mule, i put some of my non-ex tanking gear on it to help)
WHM/SCH(Waffles<3)
BLM/RDM
BLM/RDM
BLM/RDM
BRD/WHM(can't afk between songs, need to actually use their mp)
COR/RDM(good QD set, helps a lot on damage)
cor and brd rotated when possible.. blms were above average(all have sorc petasos, 2/3 have morri robe/novio, obviously not using full morri because skill set) but nothing really special
Don't have a pic of 7man, but this is from same series; couple people had to go

There isn't anything specifically wrong with Settlers.
-26 attack would be something along the lines of -5% attack, which would be approximately -5% DoT.
You also lose 1fSTR (most of the time), which will be another few percent dropped in DoT.
10/90 = 11% increase in hit rate if you are getting full use out of the 10 acc.
So if you are under 85-90% hit rate then Settler > Forager.
But I would question when you would find your self uncapped accuracy after food?
Maybe some high level NM (like a sky god) that you're not zerging and it killed you last pop and you didn't bring a second pizza with you?
Or maybe for Colibri if not eating sushi and not drg.
(I seem to remember that 85% Acc + meat was about equal Capped acc on crab sushi for my Thf (but feint pushed meat way ahead) so I'd assume there will be times when kabobs > crab for other jobs on lolibri too.)
is there a haste cap for pets?
