I have 8/8 Ele skill merits and 5/5 INT. But even before I did, I found it easier to find skill gear than INT. Food helps a lot.

If you select opaline set and then pick to go back to the normal equip it was wearing before can you choose to re-equip the opaline set again or would you have to re-buy it with the points all over again?

and @ machiko.. you have to rebuy the sets.. but you should have hundred's of thousands of npc points if your npc is any decent level.

Not sure about the katana, but the NM that drops it is up literally all the time. It's been on widescan every time I've run through W Altep over the last few weeks, and when I go to take a look nobody is killing it.

depending what your shell does and whatnot Bricta's Cuffs are probably ideal, otherwise there's the Ebon/Ebur/etc hands are very solid, otherwise even just AF2 for the -enmity.

Possibly landing Ninjutsu I guess, but that was never really tested. It's a long shot.

Only reason I can see CHR is for (lol)DE ws piece.

With -50% MDT the only one that manages to break a full Stoneskin is generally Thundaga II. I find Sleepga far more annoying; it then gets TP faster to do its stupid magic reflection.

Really late to the party, but if the magic reflection bothers people enough, you can actually bring some kind of weapon (Joyeuse) and engage Zekka if it uses Abrasive, in an attempt to get it out of that counter mode earlier than otherwise.

Granted, it's still a 50/50 chance and you might keep getting Abrasive to pop up, but something to think about.

Could anyone help me out with some tips and suggestions for upgrading the look with ffxi calculator ?


I downloaded it, went to the settings tab, put in my resolution and hit the 1.5x button giving me background 1920:1536. I enabled the sound and did 20, then I selected my windower launcher.ini. I hit apply settings while being in game and I can't really tell a difference.

Will this work while I am in game? Can I change a setting and see the difference immediately or do I need to log in and out when changing stuff?
