Everyone says that but i've never seen a reference back to the post with data. If you have that data, know where it is, or would be happy to produce it I would love to see it :D

edit: to the poster right above me i'm not asking if sj cor gives you a bonus on corsair's roll, though unless you were referring to a cor in the pt and you doing corsair's roll then.

Ok, on SAM, if I have Usu body, Usu feet, Rajas ring and Brutal earring, would I be better using a Sword Strap or Pole Grip? Using Sword Strap shouldnt break me on 6 hit correct? Id still be using Brutal and Rajas in WS.

With hagun ? Fuma or dusk ledelsens +1 (those are tier I synth so not rare or too expensive) because 1% haste and 2% DA is always better than 3% -delay, regarless of the haste. Of course if you don't cap accuracy stick to usu shoes, but why have acc not capped as SAM when pizza exists ¿

Did it with 3xblms 1 rdm, low margin error. Almost won with 3blms once but wiped at 20%~.

I think Shamaya wrote stuff like this on forums speaking about Hecatomb on Thief.

Remember Slow isn't calculated like Haste.

Just calculate your delay with Slow and Haste, and then get the difference between oldhaste to newhaste ?

He did a bunch of calculations based on SA and TA normal swings, and showed that heca gear is bad for SA non WS as the slow effect reduces your DoT more than the extra stats give on the 1 attack.

But that is for a normal TP swing, not a WS. But I was wondering if the same effect applied.

I have a couple of questions concerning accuracy from food. Talking about food that give a % increase, not those that give a fixed amount.


1) When is the food accuracy bonus calculated/added to your overall? After everything else? (Weapon skill, dex, +acc gear, hunter's, madrigal, focus, aggressor, etc etc) Or maybe somewhere in between?

2) According to Wiki some food have a reported Acc cap, most other do not. Why is this information missing? People didn't bother to test? Or the cap is so high nobody cared to report it? They just have no known cap? (I highly doubt this)


Now n°2 may seem particularly stupid, but I'm currently using Crab Sushi for my Polearm setup on SAM, and doing some tests/theorycrafting to decide which piece to equip. So far I've been doing all this theorycrap assuming the accuracy cap on that 13% acc bonus was really really high. What if it's not? What if it's "only" +20ish like tentacle sushi or some other food with known cap? It would completely mess up all my plans.
This only to justify the source of my doubts and of these questions.

Only should if you land a melee hit before swapping back to TP gear.

There shouldn't be any chance of that as I use spellcast.

If I have a swing rate of 1 every 5 seconds (hypothetical) and I reach 100 TP and then wait 3 seconds until I WS, do I:
a) Swing again 2 seconds after my WS
b) Swing again 5 seconds after my WS (WS reseting the swing timer)
c) Swing 5 seconds + slow gear modification after my WS.

Also I notice when I use last resort (I know JAs reset the swing timer) there is a long delay before my first swing. It 'feels' like a full delay of the weapon (Delay 501, not reduced by haste gear), is that correct, or am I eye-balling?

Food:

Accuracy modifications due to food (such as Sole Sushi) apply after all other modifiers have been considered; simply add the accuracy value from the food to your total. In the case of food that raises your accuracy by a percentage, multiply your total base accuracy by 1.x, where x is the percent-value of the food.

2) You should parse. Even if Penta Thrust builds works with Crab Sushi.

I used my Bando's for a week or two after getting Totsu until Alky dropped for me. They did alright, and I always wonder if I still should be using them in a situation where I'm not getting outside attack buffs vs. High DEF mobs.
