Warwolf belt, Sam AF belt, or Virtuoso belt, and order from best to worst would be appreciated.
For sam penta of course.
Considering merits for RDM: 8 enfeebling obviously but I'm torn between my love of awesome phalanx and love of not resisting on nukes.
Is there any situation that will allow 8 enhancing to be more useful than 8 elemental or should I just suck it up?
In order to get the 325 Enhancing skill needed to cap Phalanx II's damage absorbed (@29), I believe you need 8/8 enhancing merits. Could be different now though, haven't looked into it for about a year.
If you really want to specialize like that, I say go for it
edit: nvm http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Phalanx_II
apparently capping it isn't possible right now?
Anyone know the repop time on ToAU Beastmen Kings (Ie. Medusa), after a besieged where they were not killed?
Some people have reported that 300 skill is the last Phalanx potency tier? So there's no point in meritting enhancing magic unless you want awesome barspells solo?
I could be talking out of my ass here, but I think Rambus meritted Enhancing 8/8 on his mule and tested it, showing that 300 skill was the last potency Tier for Phalanx 1.
So I got my Moonlight Medal last week. So I figured I'd campaign some to prevent myself from losing the medal.
Anyways after about 10 decent campaigns, I go to the evaluation guy. He keeps saying you did a good job but didn't warrant a new medal. Is this the message that he is supposed to say? Just wondering.
yea I did it last week he will refesh the medal seal.
Hm, anyone ever do the North Gustaberg (S) Fay Augment fight?
I noticed a few days ago that some players were doing it over the ho-hum Grauberg (S) fight and was wondering if it was easy and if they were doing it to avoid fighting Stonewall.
He will refresh the medal for you, but there is a higher message. Something along the lines of "You currently have the highest honors possible, so we cannot give you a new medal." Since there is no higher medal, having "good job, but did not warrant a new medal" is fine~
Anyone have spellcast code that will help me stop firing off Patriarch Protector's Arrow's?
Ok, I have a couple einherjar questions.
First the background:
The shell I'm in runs tuesday and saturday nights. The current "active" member base is around 40ish. The shell uses a point system where members gain a point for showing up to a run, but limited to only 1 point a week. Gear is distributed based on a want list combined with point priority.
Currently we use 2 mules and 1 person as our feather holders for the odin rotation. In the past we have used normal members as all holders, but as many of you could have already guessed is that those member eventually flaked out thus leaving us to rebuild pop holders.
We do an unusual rotation for runs. We start with a T3 win like normal. Then we do a ls vote to see what tier to do next. Then the next run we do another vote. Run after is another vote, etc until the leader feels comfortable with how many people can enter odin (30+). Last odin we got 6/9 feathers (two being from T3). The odin before we got 6-7/9 feathers.
For skill/gear wise, the shell is an average-above average shell. We are capable of wins barring any random T3 bad combos. We usually have 34-36 for each run. We are separated into 2 allys: melee and extra. Melee ally consists of a 3 bard rotation for the 3 parties with each set up as: SMN WHM DD DD DD [BRD]. The extra ally has one pt as "tank pt": PLD PLD WHM WHM RDM COR, one pt as "crowd control": BLM BLU BLU BLU RDM extra, and one "filler pt": SMN SMN SMN +3 random jobs. Overall there usually are enough smns to astral burn a wave of mobs.
Question #1:
I've advocated doing a strict T3 > T2 > T1 > Odin rotation for a long time now. My thoughts is that if someone misses a win, they can pick it up in the next rotation. My thinking is more odin = more gear = happy people. However, every time i suggest we stick to doing a strict rotation I am told that we "wouldn't have enough people for odin" if we did that. They claim that after 1 rotation we'd have *only* 20-24 people with access. I'm known for bitching about the efficiency of this shell to the point where some told me to leave.
So my question is: which is more efficient/logical, doing a strict T3 > T2 > T1 > odin rotation vs a 33-36 manned "for sure" win? and why?
Question #2:
We have 2-3 75 CORs in our ls. However, leadership feels that they should be in the "tank pt". I have argued that a cor would help out in the melee pts more and that we should just turn the "tank pt" into a 4th melee pt. The leadership feels that the smns in melee pt (who i believe dont even use favors I'm not 100% sure on that) is better than a cor because of their ability to heal and haste.
So my question is: would 2-3 cors be better off in melee pts or the tank pt? and why?
Melee party, tanks don't tank shit for long, in there faster you kill shit the better
Do a strict rotation , you can kill odin with 20 people. if people skip they can get their Dfeet drops another run.
Might not be a bad idea to get 3 solid mule rotated in or even a 4th for back up, you can never have too many people with 9/9.
So someone with 50% attendance has a chance to have just as many points as someone who has 100% attendance? intriguing
